Delightful place, nice people, and we ate magnificent strawberries, raspberries and boysenberries for three days after.

We enjoyed visiting this lavender farm. The owners were really friendly and even gave us a quick tour/info session. There are also a wide range of high quality lavender based products on sale at a very reasonable price. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no entry fee. It was worth the 40 minute drive from Hamilton.

We had the most amazing day at Bullwool Farm today! What an incredible place. Everything is constructed to the highest quality and immaculately kept, the animals were all happy to see us, we loved the creative ways of feeding some of them (like the xylophone feeder!!). The little buckets of food were fantastic and a great learning experience for the kids. We spent most of the day there and could’ve spent longer. Everywhere you look there’s something else to see/do!! We will be making the trip back to Paeroa again JUST to visit again.

Waitomo Big Birds (Ostrich & Emu & Giant Moa) and Miniature animals provide an hours petting experience for animal lovers with lots of photo opportunities with animals - miniature horses, donkeys, llama & alpacas, baby-doll & dwarf sheep, goats, miniature highland cows, mini-bulls, and small petting animals - mini-lop rabbits, tortoise, and mini-munchkin cats with kittens in season.
Ann’s farm stay far exceeded our expectations and is a must see and do if you are planning a trip to Waitomo. My only regret is that we only stayed one night. The farm tour was a blast for both adults and kids. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many animals coexisting except when visiting a zoo! Ostriches, emus, donkeys, mini horses, guinea pigs, llamas, alpacas, Scottish highland cows, jersey cows, sheep, rams, kittens, a tortoise, goats, bulls, rabbits, and even a pig all integrated into one farm (and we mustn’t forget Betsy the dog, who would be highly offended if we didn’t note how much we loved her). We not only pet several of the animals but also had our 7 year old sit atop a few cows. It was really outrageous and awesome! My personal highlight was getting to collect ostrich eggs in the paddock and then enjoying a homemade ostrich egg omelet for breakfast. Please don’t stay anywhere else in Waitomo. This is the place if you enjoy animals and don’t mind a little dirt here and there!

Every time I come here I have to drag my two girls away, they just love it!! Great local farm park for kids, takes about an hour to walk around feeding the animals, then there is a cool playground area with picnic tables everywhere and a few ducks, guinea pigs, and a cheeky cockatoo that sits in the middle like he owns the place :) fun place for sure.

To be honest we always stop here on the trip south to New Plymouth. Their berries are put to very good use in excellent ice cream and frozen yoghurts. They can also be purchased in trays to take away. Don’t pass it by on SH3!

Pick-Your-Own (PYO) spray-free blueberries and lavenders; Enjoy a cup of coffee, real fruit blueberry ice cream or blueberry smoothies among the fields of lavender; Taste delicious blueberry and lavender food. Our season is December and January. Please check our website or google business before you come.
The owners were friendly and very accommodating. The backyard is very pleasing to the eyes as well as its smell. We didn't experience the blueberry picking since there's not much berries left for picking. The entrance fee is relatively cheaper than the one in Auckland.

Great berry farm with it's own icecream shop. They do delicious freshly mixed berry icecreams and sell a variety of products. Nice place for a quick treat on a hot day.
