We went there because my sister recommend it and was totally worth it, learning about the permacuture, understanding how nature works and tasting amazing food during the journey, all guided by Javier, an interesting guy with an amazing knowledge about plants and food who explains everything that you want to know and it’s definitely worth to have a sit with him and talk about his experience. A complete diferent tour that doesn’t try to sell you something and different from the usual visit to manufacturers that are a total bummer when looking for a real experience

You can all still visit us VIRTUALLY at the Cloud Forest Botanicals website. You can order our products and contact us there. No visits to the farm for the foreseeable future.

This place is truly amazing as are the owners Gary and Carlo. Wow...what an amazing experience my wife and I had yesterday afternoon. We toured the jungle and all of their beautiful, fragrant and even tasty leaves and flowers. The place is stunning and the tour that Gary gave us was even better...tons of knowledge about the plants and the peninsula where Green Acres is located. I personally love the passion and commitment Gary has to making the earth, the archipelago, the peninsula and their property a better place through education, dedication, hard work and honestly just a passion and a love for the earth and all its people. He and Carlo are heavily involved with the reforestation of the almandro trees...so cool. What an amazing tree. They are also involved with helping the local village learn how to plant and grow sustainable and editable plants so they can live through droughts and other curve balls Mother Nature hands out. Ok...I could write forever, the place is cool, the guys are cool and it is a must see. Don’t forget the unreal chocolate experience at the end. Say hi if you see me there because i will be there on every trip we take to Bocas.

Eco Horqueta opens to the public 3 years ago to offer a complete cultural experience to our visitors. We offer culinary journeys to Panamanian and Global cuisine through exquisite fusion of ingredients and techniques that we teach you for you to take home. Additionally our sensory coffee tour will make experience a lifetime journey to the lives of a coffee farmer where you will work your own coffee from harvesting it to toasting it yourself through traditional techniques just like our grandmother used to make it.

It was a great tour, started out with an ox cart ride, then a tour of the factory (built in 1979) and the rum tasting. We learned that Abuelo rum is casked in old Jack Daniels casks which give it a unique flavor. The rum tasting was the best part, we tried 8 different types, and figure that the 12 year old is best to drink on the rocks, even though the Centuario is a bit better in flavor ( at 5+ times the cost). You must book and go as a group of 10 or more to gain entrance, well worth the trip!!

Panama's home of live, bio-active single variety honey. We also have a 200 sq meter butterfly house with over 30 local species of butterflies. Emerge yourself in the pollinators with a half day tour or else just swing buy for honey tastings and butterfly house (open 9-4), shop (open 9-4). We have a unique offering and we want to share it with people who like high quality honey, love nature and want to make a difference by supporting our small business. We are passionate about taste. We can offer honey tastings like no other. More varied than anywhere else in the world that we know of. We produce a vast range of different flavors of honey depending on the floral source. This is unique and only possible because of the enormous biodiversity in Western Panama around Volcan Baru. This small Isthmus has Atlantic and Pacific coasts, 11,000 ft mountains and just about every type of forest and grassland in between. Some of our honeys are rare, some we have in larger quantity. We are serious about health. Our honey and our honey bees are very healthy. We sell raw minimally filtered honey. More than that though, our honey is pure and pristine in ways that are not possible in most of the developed world: 1. Most of our honeys are from wild plants which have no chemical treatment and are utterly pristine 2. Our bees are healthy, we do not need to feed antibiotics or miticides We want to teach people to better understand how to care for our pollinators. We offer a tour on our honey farm in Boquete. We treasure all types of bees and keep on the farm a wide variety of forage for bees, different types of native bees to illustrate how bees and plants are meant to exist together. Our butterfly house is 200 sq meters and is full of fun and activity. Sure to delight all ages.
We were with a large group. The owner and her staff were organized, informative and entertaining. The tour was so personable. The guide was so willing to stop and answer questions. The honey tasting after the tour was eye opening, never thought there could be so many different flavors. This is a MUST see excursion.

My wife and I were staying in Boquete but decided to drive out to Volcan for this tour. It did not disappoint. The farm is beautiful and it is a great place to hang out and hike. The sheer number of different birds alone makes spending time here worthwhile. Emily took us on the tour. She spent way more time with us than the scheduled duration of the tour. We are coffee snobs and it was great to learn more about the production process. This tour is awesome!

Enjoy an even paced morning or afternoon on the small, hillside farm about 3 kms from Santa Fe. The price includes lunch. Coffee, fruits & vegetables, as well as award winning orchids are grown by this older couple on their Panamanian style, non-mechanized farm. Be prepared for uphill walks on sometimes muddy paths. Groups of 2 to 4 are best. Only Spanish is spoken, but language is not critical
Our party of four showed up without notice - Maria & Chon were ready. We spent three hours being guided through the grounds, learning about coffee production, observing a myriad plants, eating amazing food & taking in the lush, rural surroundings. You will feel like you're in the middle of no where.
