Family owned choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm is located near Bluemont, Virginia, situated on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have been growing beautiful hand shaped fir and spruce trees, and making fresh, exquisite wreaths.

This is a real farm with seasonal hours open the the public. On October weekends, we're open weekends for hayride to the pumpkin patch. After Thanksgiving, we're open for choose and cut christmas trees. We only sell what we grow here. We are not an ag-themed produce reseller and we never charge an enrty fee. In 2019 we opened Cedar Run Brewery on the farm, which is open year-round.

One of my favorite “date” activities is driving through the beautiful countryside to cute little towns with views so husband took me to this place as a Valentine’s Day treat. And what a treat it was! We had brunch and every bite was spectacular. Truly. I am still fantasizing about the dill biscuit and the chicken liver mouse with seed crackers. The dining room in this novel greenhouse like structure with a lovely view of the potomac. It’s both farmy and sophisticated and it’s delicious real food that even excellent home cooks are not likely to be able to cook at home. The beignets were amazing as well. My main course of tempura fish was great too but the highlife items items were exceptional and memorable. A very special place for an outing and we will be back for sure in warmer weather. As an added bonus, the bill was quite reasonable.

This park is a wonderful place to get away from it all. It has animals for kids and adults to both enjoy, and they have activities for kids and families. For anyone who didn't grow up on a farm, it can be a really fun place to learn new things. For those of us that did grow up in the country or on a farm, it can be like a little taste of home from your childhood. They also have picnic tables around the property that we enjoy just sitting at and people watching. Sometimes will bring work or homework to do on the picnic tables just because of the atmosphere in the park. It's just a really relaxing place to get away.

We did a wine tasting yesterday. They offered a flight or glass for $9. Bottles are $30. We chose to try their red wine flight. They invited us to sit at a table for our tasting. We also had a sausage and onion calzone and strawberry trifle for dessert. The food was very good. I checked out the upstairs which has a few more tables and chairs. Side note: They had a “West Ossipee” sign which is where I went camping every summer growing up in NH. Small world.

At Faith like a Mustard Seed Farm, we raise and sell pastured heritage pork and GMO-free eggs in a beautiful 1850's era setting overlooking the Potomac River valley and Catoctin Mountain. We offer a B&B/farm stay, “plus" an option of cooking classes and fine dining experience by Chef Patricia Glaeser (former New York/Chicago private chef turned farmer) featuring locally grown ingredients and wine.

We took our grandchildren to the Cox Farms Fall Festival. It was a delight. There were more slides than you could shake a stick at. numerous things to climb, a goat feeding area (be aware the older goats can be agressively demanding), rope swings, corn field path, and hay ride. We went early when they opened which was a mistake - there were a lot of school groups which made for crowds and lines. After the groups left the lines got shorter. However we ended up being chased out by rain :( One recommendation - even though there is food available, the lines can be very long. I strongly recommend you carry snacks. However, the doughnuts are worth standing in line for. (The line is slow as they are cooking the doughnuts fresh)
