We spend 10 days in Podere Montese in the northern part of the Tuscany and enjoyed every day. Great breakfast, very delicious dinner (restaurant open from Thursday to Sunday Lunch), nice pool, good room and friendly service. So we will come again.

Is a manor house situade only 500 mt form the town fivizzano, in tuscany . The farm is set in a wonderful natural amphitheatre an offers different paths for walks in the surrounding unspoiltcountryside.
I stayed in the main house for just one night. I would have liked to have stayed longer but I was on the end of a long trip. The room was very very nice, clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was fantastic...great shower. The Wifi was very good. I had a lovely breakfast. Giovanna had to come get me as it was a little difficult to find as it was night time and raining but she was so accommodating and nice. I would love to go back and spend more time. Thank you.

The agriturismo MONTAGNA VERDE is located in Apella di Licciana Nardi (province of Massa), Lunigiana region, in the north of Tuscany, surrounded by the centuries-old chestnut trees of the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park. The rooms are in an historic watchtower built in 1000 and renovated in 1995 by Mario Maffei. The attentive, painstaking renovation project led to the creation of colourful rooms (bedrooms, apartments, tasting room, honey workshop, restaurant) that combine the relaxed and characteristic atmosphere of historic buildings with the functionality and comfort of modern accommodation, to ensure guests experience all-round well-being.The tasting room and restaurant, with its zero-km menu (local product and slow food menu), are the ideal place to enjoy delicious, traditional Lunigiana cuisine . In the summer, guests can enjoy the pool-terrace (25 x 5 meters) with a view of the Apuan Alps, completely surrounded by the green landscape of the surrounding mountains. In autumn, the myriad of colours creates an impressive and memorable backdrop, and visitors can witness the metato in operation (every October this special wood oven is lit for the traditional drying of chestnuts), and breathes in the aroma of roasted chestnuts spreading through the village. The biopark and educational farm are perfect for those interested in finding out about the biodiversity of the area and to getting to know the farm’s animals, such as donkeys, sheep and cows, as well as the organic gardens where herbs for medicinal and culinary purposes are produced.
Great accommodation in small historical village. Excellent local food in restaurant. Close to Tuscan-Emilian National Apennine Park which is suitable for hiking. Access roads are narrow and twisty but it is part of experience to visit such lovely tranquil place.

Lunigiana in Tuscany - Avoid the tourist trail and experience the natural beauty and charm of this undiscovered part of Northeren Tuscany. Newly refurbished holiday apartments in detached traditional stone houses. Campsite situated in a tranquil setting with all modern amenities and fitness course.
Everything you want if you want to see this part of Italy, the owner is very friendly and helpful, the facilities are all there and very clean and nice. There is a lovely bbq spot and La Spezia and Pontremoli are two gems of towns that are a must see together with nature: stretti di giaredo was amazing! Simply perfect.

Having a house in nearby Fosdinovo affords us the opportunity to lunch here whenever we’re visiting our house. Today was no different from any other . Great food well cooked at a reasonable price . The staff as always were exceptional, in particular Lorenzo who was our waiter. Can’t wait until we go back again soon.

Rooms are cold as expected as the walls are very thick, but in general is what I was expecting from an agriturismo far from the civilization. We got the issue that the bridge on the magra river was under re-construction so it was basically impossible to get to the closest town. The only bad side (in my opinion) was the breakfast, which was unespectively scarse: ok maybe I am too much accustomed to a continetal breakfst, but I was expecing some more elaborated "local product". In general, there are a very few people working in this structure.

We had Sunday lunch here with friends. It was a perfect day! The setting is lovely, the fruit trees were in blossom and the food was to die for! I had capretta and my husband had steak which was so tender. The antipasto was very diverse, quite sophisticated and vegetables were very good.Service excellent and friendly. Truly can't fault it. It's a special place! Complimenti!

Now a working farm, Agriturismo Casteldelpiano is a restored mediaeval castle in Licciana Nardi. It has a Tuscan restaurant, a pool and rooms with stone walls and free Wi-Fi.Rooms at the Casteldelpiano have wood-beamed ceilings and traditional furnishings. Each comes with views of the Lunigiana Valley or the courtyard, together with a private bathroom.A daily buffet breakfast is provided. The restaurant, open in summer, is in an elegant 16th-century hall.
We stayed one night. We wished we'd stayed more. It's a very old castle which has been renovated internally to a really good standard. It is simply but tastefully furnished. The bedroom and shower room were perfect for our needs. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed a cooling dip in their outdoor swimming pool. The dinner was simply delicious; it was vegetarian that night and everything was cooked and presented to perfection, with a delightful 2015 Merlot from their own vines. We sat outside in the courtyard on a balmy summer's evening, watching the swifts and then, as darkness set in, the bats flying above us. The lady who greeted us and served our food was extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. I am sure we will return.

We were so positively surprised by this place and not only because it is very beautiful and lovely. Especially because Cristina and her sister Laura who was there too are such wonderful strong women with their heart in the right place. They understand and respect the nature and the nature of the animals living there. So sad Cristina's husband passed away last year, they have build this paradise together over the last 40 years. But Cristina is taking care of the place so well (of course with the help of some great staff members). Our children have enjoyed the swimmingpool to the max and cuddling with the donkeys and pony Roxy was also favourite! Our appartment was not big but it was very nicely decorated, colourful and fresh. Basic equipment but certainly sufficient. We will definitely try to come back!
