Lovely shop with very friendly owner who was happy to spend an hour talking to us about local life one Saturday afternoon. Very interesting to hear about the influx of Syrian refugees and the north/south divide with Oslo. There is a lovely range of local handicrafts at reasonable prices. At the side of the shop is the small nature reserve with a steep path up the mountain which is well worth taking for an excellent view from the loo and mountain hut at the top. You will need good crampons in the snow as it is pretty steep in places. You may well meet a local man who climbs this route every day in all weathers. It takes about half an hour to get to the top and a similar time coming down - which is when you will really need the crampons.

As a French, seeing all those goats and cheese roaming free in Lofoten I was curious to find some locally made cheese after trying this famous brown sugary cheese. When arriving at the farm, it already felt very authentic and the cheese... just delicious. We tried the mixed cow and goat milk and pure goat milk. This place is a must go if you are passing by.

This cozy shop is located a little west from Lesja city centre, and it really is a shop you should visit on your stay in the area. Anna, the owner, is super nice, and Anna and her staff always gives the best service to help you find what you're looking for. Have a taste of the delicious cheese or ice cream. And get yourself some nice beer to take home while you're at it. Enjoy!
