Think you need an ocean for a beach? Think again. There are miles and miles of sandy lakefront beaches in Michigan (thanks to the four Great Lakes that border it). The west coast of Michigan has especially nice beaches—try a rental in Muskegon, Grand Haven or Saugatuck. You won’t need a car when visiting Mackinac Island. In fact, they’re not allowed—this lovely Victorian resort town is pedestrian-only.

The Bowerman family has been growing blueberries since 1954. The farm has already picked blueberries along with other local fresh produce. We offer u-pick blueberries in season mid-July through mid-August. We also make delicious blueberry donuts every morning. Our bakery also makes muffins, pies, crisps, coffee cakes, turnovers, homemade fudge and more. Everyone loves our fruit smoothies and soft serve ice cream. Open Sundays after the 4th of July through Labor Day. The store is open seasonally June through November each year. In the off season call to purchase frozen blueberries by appointment.
Just before Thanksgiving they had a pie tasting event. Wow... Talk about fantastic tasting pies. We have enjoyed their blueberries and now are hooked on their baked goods as well. You really need to try their blueberry donuts. Heavenly!

Come out and see our beautiful orchard and views of Lake Michigan. We are a family fruit farm, with pick your own cherries and raspberries. Our farm bakery makes fresh pies daily along with hot coffee and donuts. Montmorency tart cherry juice is always in season. We have a large parking lot for easy buss and RV parking.
We were visiting Charlevoix and this was a fun activity. We picked peaches and also did the sunflower trail. Very reasonably priced and the staff was friendly and helpful. They followed all the COVID procedures and we felt completely safe. There is a U-Pick stand outside where you pay and get the bucket, so you don't even have to go in the market.

Great find on trip advisor. Whether you want just one fresh produce item or a bushel, worth stopping here for fresh items.

Abundance of fresh, local fruits and vegetables, local honey, pastries and breads, including several gluten and dairy/vegan free options (the blueberry gluten free donuts were amazing!). Several vendors had plants to sell. They also had food vendors / trucks. Prices comparable to what we expected. Live music and beautiful weather added to the enjoyment. Ample free parking nearby.

If you are seeking fresh fish, this is THE Place. the whitefish, lake trout and whitefish spread were all incredibly fresh and delicious. This is a small business, and I expect there are days they sell out so arrive early.
