When I stopped by, only had time to buy a bottle, so didn't get to sample anything. Also it was during the pandemic, so tasting was done outside in a nice trailer/bar. Once inside, quickly looked through the gift shop and settled on a bottle of Contradiction bourbon....very tasty! The staff were very nice and I only wish I'd had time to take the tour. Next time!

We saw a roadside sign in Davis, WV for Still Hollow Spirits that caught our eye - always on the lookout for a new boutique distillery or microbrewery. The sign gave no address but after a few inquiries of friends in the local area, we set out in search of new distillates. The Still Hollow facility is a small family run business on the banks of Stinking Run of Gandy Creek in Job (pronounced "Jobe"), WV. Very out of the way, but well worth the effort. The facility is in a beautiful newly built barn-like facility constructed with an open interior with beams and sections of local like woods in panels surrounding the interior walls; beautiful. The timber used in construction was locally harvested and milled; they planed the rough cut lumber themselves. I believe they have only been open for 2-3 years, getting things up and running. They were on Batch #004 of their un-aged 100% corn whiskey (moonshine) at our visit, during which we purchased a bottle of Batch #004 and bottle #9 of 45 of Batch # 001 of their Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey. The corn whiskey is 100% heirloom corn (Bloody Butcher) that they themselves and a couple of others grow for them to supply the operations. They bring the dried corn on the cob to the facility and shell and mill it themselves: a fully hands-on operation all the way. These are truly hand crafted products in small batches. They will be bottling for sale their first run of gin in Mid December, 2018. Other spirits in the lineup will be seasonal herb/fruit infused spirits. The Lutz family has beyond a doubt done a magnificent job with their small batch, locally sourced, hand crafted products. At 80 proof, Still Hollow un-aged 100% corn whiskey (moonshine) was as smooth or smoother than many triple run products that I've had the pleasure of tasting! Even Beezer sang the praises, and she refuses to imbibe of harsh moonshine!! LOL This is truly a find! If you have an appreciation of fine quality and unique spirits, definitely look up this place!! Highly, highly recommended!
