Garrison Brothers Distillery

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery. Our bourbon is hand-made from corn to cork right here on our little ranch. We are open Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm and Friday & Saturday from 11am-5pm.

We had been waiting to do a tour of Garrison Brothers for over a year. We finally scored spots last week and it was worth the wait! Tours are only $10 a person, which includes samples of the process along the way and a decent pour of bourbon at the end of the tour. It was really amazing to hear Garrison's story and see the process. We arrived early, which I highly recommend, and got drinks from the outside bar. "The Donkey" was a delicious spin on a "Moscow Mule". The "Old Fashioned" was a VERY generous size for the money and tasty. They also offered beer and wine for an honor system donation. The outdoor area was very large and had plenty of places to sit and enjoy the property. Overall, I definitely recommend and will be back!

This funky, quaint business is part distillery/part Pirate theme bar, the Buccaneer. We got a tour from the owner, Kelly, who taught us much about distilling, qualities, aging...lots of great information, a very relaxed pace. The tour we purchased also included a delicious rum drink of our choosing, which we sipped on as we toured and asked Kelly lots of questions. We finished with a tasting of 6 or 7 different varieties. And got a cool shot glass as a souvenir, also part of the tour. We highly recommend making a stop here, this was one of the best distillery tours we have ever taken (and we've done lots!) Thank you, Kelly, it was a pleasure meeting you.

If you enjoy small batch, craft whiskey, you will LOVE this place! I had the whiskey flight (who knew?) which had four samples ranging from a blended whiskey cocktail to a straight rye and my date had an old-fashioned which he said was outstanding. It is a darkish, cozy place with lots of wood on the walls and tables. The service is top-notch (thank you, Marcus). One last thing, you MUST try the homemade whiskey cake. It's not for the faint of heart. Made with Bendt whiskey and then soaked in Bendt whiskey. A word of caution: Do not eat and drive. :)

Black Eyed Distilling Co.

The story behind the creation of BLK EYE Vodka started with a bold vision. With 100% Texas roots from farm to bottle, it’s the first vodka crafted by hand from black-eyed peas. The result is a smooth-tasting stroke of genius. At BlackEyed Distilling Co., we just believe an ultra premium experience should be evident from the first sip. Smooth. Subtle. Singular. That’s what being an original is all about.

It's worth a 5 hour drive just to visit with these folks! Trey Chapman Foodie!
