São Paulo (Portuguese pronunciation: [sɐ̃w ˈpawlu] ( listen)) is one of the 26 states of the Federative Republic of Brazil and is named after Saint Paul of Tarsus. As the richest Brazilian state and a major industrial complex, often dubbed the "locomotive of Brazil", the state is responsible for 33.9% of the Brazilian GDP. São Paulo also has the second highest Human Development Index (HDI) and GDP per capita, the fourth lowest infant mortality rate and the third lowest rate of illiteracy among the federative units of Brazil. Cachaca Barra Grande

The Engenho da Barra Grande is the oldest in the State of São Paulo and the only one that is still moved to Roda de Água in the State. We produce Cachaça Barra Grande and Cachaça Santo Grau Itirapuã. The construction of Engenho dates from 1860. The Farm also has Mill of Fubá, Monjolo, Hydroelectric Plant, Machine to benefit rice and Sawmill moved by water. The farm has a store with the products produced there, as well as other products and souvenirs. The construction of Engenho preserves until today all the original features and very interesting details, such as the water spout, which is a tree of 14 meters in length, that the water passes in to move the Wheel, a staircase carved in a tree of Balsam, a wine cellar that the creek passes inside and creates a perfect climate for the aging of the drink, where we also make the tasting of the same. A charming place, which preserves the architecture and traditions of a history of over 150 years.
