We stayed in the beautiful treehouse overnight. We were unable to do the gin class as I found out just before we stayed that I was pregnant... so just wanted to say thank you for making our stay so utterly magical from start to finish and being so accommodating. We loved absolutely everything, from the food delivered to our door, the beautiful furnishings, the craftsmanship of the treehouse, fairy lights everywhere and the cosiest nights sleep ever. Everything was perfect, and although it was only a mile from our house, we really felt like we were on holiday. I can now cross staying at a treehouse off my bucket list! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an alternative and truly relaxing getaway - and with such lovely hosts! Thank you again x x x

6 O'clock Gin Distillery

6 O’clock Gin Distillery Tours are perfect if you want to see ‘behind the scenes’ at a working distillery and experience the sights, smells and flavours of our working week. Your guides will conduct you around the building and show you some of the secrets and techniques that go into the distillation of 6 O’clock Gin and Bramley & Gage fruit liqueurs. Tours take place at 11.30, 14:00 and 17:15 every Saturday and last for around 1 ½ hours. Tickets cost £25 and include a perfect serve of 6 O’clock Gin & Tonic when you arrive as well as various samples of our delicious drinks throughout the tour. To ensure a personalised and informative experience, we aim to limit each tour to 16 people. While we try to accommodate all guests, we unfortunately don’t possess a lift to take guests to the second floor. The minimum age for admission to the premises is 18 years (we don’t have a maximum). We don't offer tours during the week, but our shop is open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm

An incredible ‘experience’ making our own Gin! Welcomed from the start with a Salcombe gin, very knowledgeable distillers helped with finding botanicals and more Salcombe Gin in the middle as well as at the end made the whole gin making experience brilliant! Plus we ended up with a bottle of our own made VERY drinkable gin. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Inspired by the seasonal abundance of the south west, we use locally sourced and often hand picked ingredients to create our products. Tasters of the whole range are available to try.

Tucked around the corner from Widcombe’s main street (a small village within Bath) this little shop is worth a visit just to see the amazing copper pot still and chat with the proprietor about crafting gins and herbal elixirs. You can also taste the straight and infused gins, my favourite had been steeped in red chiles, yum! Hours are limited, so check the website so you don’t miss out!

Psychopomp Microdistillery

Reviewed By ChrisB392 - Bristol, United Kingdom

A must in Bristol for any Gin lover, not only do you learn about the history of Gin and how it’s made, but you get to distil your own personal gin, whilst trying some of Psychopomps Gins. Steph is so knowledgeable and interesting she takes you through the whole process in all it takes about 2.5 hours. At the end of the session you get to try your own gin and take a bottle home with you. As an added bonus you can buy bottles of their gins to take home as well. Highly recommended, I would go again any time.

WE ARE CRAFTING THE SOUTH WEST’S VERY FIRST SINGLE MALT WHISKY ON THE EDGE OF DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK Our beautiful ex-Cognac still was hand beaten in 1966 and has produced quality spirit for the likes of Hennessy, Martel and Remy Martin for most of its life. Saved from sitting dormant since its decommission in 1994, our still has been fully refurbished to restore it back to its former glory and is now producing smooth, sweet new make spirit made from Dartmoor barley. Inspired by the rugged land of Dartmoor on which we live and guided by our Master Distiller, Frank McHardy, our mission is to produce single malt whisky of unrivalled quality that encapsulates the true spirit of Dartmoor National Park.

What a great way to spend an afternoon which started with a vodka or gin with mixer . Our tour was 1hour and half but we were given such a good experience we were there for a good couple of hours. Kim was so interesting in her instruction on the processes from the potato to the bottle. With plenty of smell samples to explain the distillation process. Back in the tasting room for a chance to sample the full range with different mixers and botanicals with guidance by Rebecca. It was a lovely afternoon that my whole family enjoyed. It has a brilliant atmosphere with plenty of seating areas to relax and great views across the farm. I'm not generally a vodka drinker but their vodka was so very smooth and their rose vodka has me converted. There is a shop too for both gin and vodka in miniatures and half and full bottles. We came away with some great purchases and they even arranged a made up gift basket to be sent by post for us. We have already decided on our next cornish holiday we will be booking the tour to make your own gin. Lovely to hear about the heritage too. Can thoroughly recommend.
