Steinhart Distillery

A fantastic place to visit for a break from cottage life with your friends of family! The cocktails are delicious and great value. There is a large outdoor sitting area with a view of Airisag harbour and the ocean. I had the "Very Berry" and ended up buying all the ingredients since it was amazing. This was the perfect way to cap off my trip to Nova Scotia with family. Vodka and gin from the distillery are available for purchase at reasonable prices and make a delicious souvenir.

Coldstream Clear Distillery

From taste to packaging to service, we want to exceed your expectations. Our handcrafted products redefine world class quality at a price that will pleasantly surprise you.

The Coldstream Clear Distillery tasting room is located just off the highway as you are headed into Halifax. It is really easy to access, but is hiding behind the Taco Bell so it is easy to drive past it the first time if you do not know what you are looking for. Once you have found it the tasting room is a lot of fun. They have a wide range of rums and vodkas that you can sample as well as their sodas which are premixed drinks with soda water. You can also order a flight of cocktails which the staff makes right there in front of you. The day we visited the staff member was amazing and was very kind and helpful. With your cocktail flight in hand, you can head out outside to enjoy drinking them. The drinks were all very tasty. We tried the Blueberry Mojito the Creamsicle, Espresso Martini and the Paradise. Our two favorites were the Espresso Martini and Paradise. We stopped because we were working on getting stamps for the Cheers Trail, but it would be a great stop for anyone that enjoys small distilleries from the local area.

So happy we stumbled upon this place! My husband and I were doing a little "staycation" trip to Annapolis Royal, I saw this cute place as we were driving by and told my husband we had to turn around and go back to check it out! Well worth the stop. The girl behind the counter (sorry, I did not get her name) was lovely. Super friendly, informative, and personable. We had some fabulous samples and of course had to buy some goodies to take home. I never realized moonshine could be so good. During our visit, it was mentioned that pre-covid they do cocktails out of their goods so we definitely will keep them on our radar and be back to try some of those out.

We make vodka and brandy using Annapolis Valley apples, Pear Eau-de-vie, Rum, Gin and several delicious fruit liqueurs. Tastings are free. Please contact us to check on the tour availability.

Ironworks is an artisanal cute little distillery located in the historic port town of Lunenburg. My wife and I stopped in while we were visiting Lunenburg. We sampled several different liqueurs and vodka and loved all the sampling, especially the sweet blueberry liqueur. The shop was beautiful and well preserved. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this stop in Lunenburg!

We visited in August and did the tour and had lunch. The Good. 1. The tour was excellent and took about 30 minutes. The guide was very informative and friendly and free samples were a bonus. 2. The location is very pretty and the grounds are really well kept. 3. The place has a real community feel. 4. The restaurant has lots of whiskies available to try and the food was good including a tasty chowder. Service was good and there was a group playing local music. 5. The shop sells a wide range of whiskies and other local produce and the staff are very helpful in helping you choose the right products. The Bad Nothing Overall As a whiskey fan, this was a great stop but even if you aren't here for the drink, the location and food are both worth a detour. Would highly recommend.
