We are a small craft distillery nestled in the beautiful Cardrona valley . We produce traditional hand made spirits from malted barley, the time honoured way. We welcome you to come and visit us for a guided tour and tastings so we can share our traditionally spirit making methods with you. We are open daily from 9.30am to 5pm with tours every hour from 10am to 3pm. We also run a Family Reserve Tour, from Tuesday - Friday from 10am-1pm. We want to show you our unfair advantage: our water. The clearest springs in the world, Dancing Sands Spring and Te Waikoropupu Springs are measured to be 81 metres clear. Each bottle of Dancing Sands gin is blended with the water from the aquifer that feeds Dancing Sands Spring allowing us to make the best possible gin and perfect its taste. We are a small craft distillery and passionate about our spirits & liqueurs. We hand craft our spirits and liqueurs from beginning to end. We harvest as many local and organic ingredients as possible to create smooth yet intense aromas and flavours in our German made Jacob CARL copper still. We produce whiskey, gin, rum and a variety of locally grown fruit liqueurs which can all be tasted at McCashins Kitchen and Bar.
