Charming Timisoara is often referred to as “Little Vienna,” and indeed, Austrian influences are evident in the architecture, food and culture. This is a walking city, divided into squares that showcase stunning architectural gems. Downtown is reserved for pedestrians only, and the best time to visit is at twilight, when you can sip a hot wine as you stroll amid sparkling lights.

This tours will take you around the Banat highland region. Throughout history, Banat was at the border of all the empires that spread over the region, most notably the Ottoman and Austrian Empires, which facilitated people of different nations to come in, giving it its multiculturality. The richness of the land turned it into an important industrial hub, around which urban and rural life developed. Empires came and went and the industrial period faded, but what withstood the test of time is a treasure full of natural wonders and beauty. In this tour you will see some of the industrial legacy, meet the multicultural heritage and enjoy the beauty of our natural sights.

This hiking trip was rather short but packed with interesting experiences, considering that all the stops have something else to offer. I recommend it to anyone eager to explore the great outdoors but who wouldn't necessarily want to push their boundaries to the limit—unless they cannot stand to be in the same place with some friendly bats, hehe. Adelin is very helpful and willing to offer support with anything—transportation, equipment, unexpected issues etc. The itinerary is well-organized and there are a lot of sites to see—in addition to the caves, the gorges and hiking trails are equally rewarding. Would definitely go again :)

Hi became fascinated with northern Romania during a quick trip to Cluj one year. I desperately wanted to tour the wooden churches, painted churches, and to visit the Merry Cemetery, but with a guide. I was beyond fortunate to have found Flavia. Not only is she a wonderful person (and much fun) but made the entire trip come alive for me. She arranged delightful accommodation, where I became a part of the family, and even made sure all of my pesky food allergies were not a problem. Each day was a new adventure into a land like nowhere I had ever been. The sights were beautiful and her knowledge endless. Returning to Cluj and my trip home, she even found time for me to appease my Dracula desires and we were able to visit Hotel Castle Dracula! I strongly encourage anyone visiting Romania to contact Flavia and guarantee you a fantastic holiday!

We've signed up for a tour along Danube that included Golubac Fortress and Lepenski Vir. We've spent most of the time driving and guide Mihajlo was pointing out interesting landmarks and local curiosities and sharing stories about them on the way. We were lucky to get an extra: a tour of local winery - I guess because we were a small group with quicker turnaround. We topped it off with a dinner in a local eatery. All in all, despite the long drive, it was very worth it. The trip was very pleasant and the fortress was a sight to behold. One tip: go in the summer. During the winter the best parts of the fortress are closed off to visitors.
This trip will take you to the tallest free-falling waterfall in Romania; 40 meters of water that turns to sprinkle before reaching the ground. We start in the morning and drive up the Cerna Valley. We also stop to have a quick sightseeing of the historical city of Băile Herculane. We park our car on the Cerna river shore and begin our hike uphill. After about 2 hours, we reach our destination, where we take our time to explore the site and enjoy the beauty and splendor of the waterfall. Later on, we continue our hike towards the Cicilovete Meadow, where we can admire the view over the entire Cerna Valley and the Mehedinți Mountains. From here, we return by the same path to our car. In the evening, we can enjoy a traditional dinner and some thermal baths in Băile Herculane, which is famous for their hot water springs.

In this trip, we will take you in the heart of the Mehedinți Mountains, where we will enjoy a pleasant hike along the tall walls and pine trees of the Țesna Gorges. We start off in the morning and head to the town of Băile Herculane and then up the Cerna Valley until we reach our starting point. We ascend through the forests until we reach the walls of the gorges. As we progress through the gorges, we enjoy the rocky scenery and wild nature. Along the way, there are several landmarks that we will stop by: an old watermill, a waterfall, and the canyon of the Țesna river. Our journey ends once we reach a sheepfold. Here we will stop for lunch and we can either dig in the good in our backpack or we can enjoy a shepherd's lunch. After that, we return to our car following the same path. In the evening, we can enjoy a traditional dinner and some thermal baths in Băile Herculane, which is famous for its hot water springs.

This tour proposes a trip to the remote villages in the Cerna Mountains, where you can connect with local traditions and culture, meet the hospitable locals and taste authentic cuisine. Our destination is Inelet, one of the remote hamlets that are part of the Cornereva village, the largest in Romania. The hamlet is accessible by climbing some wooden stairs that were mounted on the rock to help locals get across a difficult passage. After we climb up the stars, we make a small detour to visit a nearby cave, then we continue on our way. After about an hour we arrive to Ineleț, where we will visit some local attractions, after which we stop for lunch at a local host. After lunch and some rest, we make our way back through the hamlet Cracu Mare. In the evening, we can enjoy a traditional dinner and some thermal baths in Băile Herculane, which is famous for their hot water springs.
