This is the perfect out of town tour. Visit two villages to see their local activities and lifestyles, La Noria and Puerta de Canoas. Learn of the old and current process of tequila at la Vinata where you will witness the equipment that was used in the 1800's to produce tequila and you will see the equipment currently being used. Also don't miss your opportunity to sample the product being made there. Then visit the villages of La Noria to see the handmade products being made. From there you'll visit Puerta de Canoas where the famous "Dancing Horses" are trained, with a great photo op with the horse before lunch back in Mazatlan.

David provided an excellent experience. We visited 3 small villages in the nearby mountains to Mazatlan. David has a great knowledge of Mexican history. I learned so many interesting facts. His English is excellent and he let me practice a little Spanish as well. I would recommend this trip. Lunch was very good. I elected on your own.

Mazatlan is much more than sun, sand, and sea. The lands of the municipality of Mazatlán and the south of Sinaloa have a rich history: the production of mezcal, the Revolution and other events. The first "Vinata"; as it is known to the haciendas where mezcal was produced, was founded before 1850. The industry expanded until it reached more than 30,000 hectares of agave plantations. The mezcal produced in these “Vinatas” awarded at different European fairs during the first decades of the last century and became the second most important producer in Mexico. The Osuna family settled in the village of La Noria, one of the most picturesque in the region. La Vinata “Los Osuna” is the only one that survives today.

My mother and I had an awesome time on the Ten Islands Tour. The guide, Cesar, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The pickup from our hotel was easy. We were taken to a doc and boarded onto a clean and comfortable boat for our tour. We enjoyed the views of the Malecon from the sea and all the islands. We also enjoyed snorkeling along deer island, which we weren’t expecting. This was a highlight of our Mazatlan trip!

26 km north of Mazatlán, on the Mazatlán - Culiacán toll road, is hidden, as in a memory, Marmol de Salcido. What once was a bustling town, today in each of its corners it tells us stories of its old glow that began with the arrival of a cement factory. The stories continue through the streets that lead us to the town's marshes with their beautiful resident and migratory birds and impressive views of a fine sand beach where with a little luck you can see dolphins. Year after year, this same beach is a silent witness to the beginning and end of the life of one of the most primitive reptiles, since the female olive ridley turtle spawns along the strip of sand. Here her young are born which, like their mother, after a long life will return to rest their last trip and be part of the turtle cemetery.
