3 1/2 stars. We drove around Salut for 5 - 6 hours looking for lavender fields. I was disappointed we did not visit Roussillon. On Tripadvisor’s itinerary “Roussillon: Stop 45 minutes” was written, so I expected we would go both Roussillon and Gordes then spend time on lavender fields, but it was different. Since it’s August, we didn’t visit Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, neither. It’s good the guide was knowledgeable and knew so much about the lavender.

Starting with hotel pickup in Nice, this private 8-hours tour of Provence gives you the chance to discover the hidden treasures and typical delights of this beloved region of France. Visit places such as Mougins perched at 750 feet above sea level and located between Cannes and Grasse. Mougins is known for its Gastronomy festival (the stars of Mougins) and it is now an important tourist centre, having successfully preserved its quiet atmosphere and its particular character. You will visit typical villages as Saint Paul de Vence, Tourettes sur Loup, Gourdon and the perfume city of Grasse. Drive through the Gorges du Loup (Loup Canyon) where the river had carved huge gorges, one of the most beautiful natural curiosities in the Provence region. Feel the charm of former Provence villages and discover their medieval architecture and art in Tourrettes sur Loup or Saint Paul de Vence. Try Lavender or violette ice cream in Gourdon and enjoy the view from about 2000 feet above sea level.

This review is long overdue. But when a friend asked me what they should do while in France I had to recommend this day trip with Yvonne. Yvonne tailor made our day so that my husband and I were able to see the things most important to us. Her knowledge of the area is truly wonderful. We were able to visit little villages, talk to the shop owners, taste incredible food and see sights we would not have explored on our own. Of course her Mercedes was very clean and comfortable. Yvonne is a warm and friendly host. The day spent with her as our guide was the highlight of our trip to France.

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!

Cassis pebbly beaches, calanques, limestone cliffs and driving the spectacular scenic Route des Crêtes along the clifftops to Cap Canaille. Cassis discovery - the magic begins to works its wonders when we leave Marseille climbing up over the steep hillsides & tiny roads taking us to the picturesque fishing village of Cassis. The road bends its way between vineyards & pine woods. The charm of Cassis shows itself as you explore little alleyways & squares edged with colourful fishermen's houses. Cassis marks everyone's mind as they discover the harbour for the first time, the boats & welcoming café terraces. The drive between Marseille and Cassis is a spectacular one. Following the clifftop road - Route des Crêtes to Cap Canaille, towering cliffs reach a height of 394 meters. This winding road connects La Ciotat to Cassis, offering spectacular views and an exceptional panorama over La Ciotat's bay & Ile Verte beyond. Ahead, the vast massif of the Calanques towers over the sea.

She was driving a new luxury Mercedes van and she is a very good driver which is a real performance when you know how it is difficult to drive in France where nobody respects basic driving rules !! so I feel safe the whole tour with Yvonne I was definitalely in very good hands. The day spent too quickly indeed this private tour was so informative and interesting thanks to my nice local guide. Don´t hesitate to book her if you want to spend an unforgetable day and come back safe...

we visited only one Rass winery, and in the review it was announced that we would visit 3 wineries. I do not like this. It made a bad impression on me that when we arrived at the Rass winery we were greeted with the finding that they had already closed for tourists today, but as a compromise they would take the trouble to open for us. The winery was not typical of Provence. There are also better wineries in the area, I expected more ...
