Chile's Valle Central, a verdant valley tucked between the Andes and the coastal mountain ranges, has a mild climate and moist soil perfect for grape growing. Made up of four distinct wine regions, Maipo, Rapel, Curico and Maule, the area is criss-crossed by well-traveled wine roads. At the northern end of the valley is Maipo, the oldest of Chile's wine regions, famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon. At the opposite end is Maule, which still grows Pais, the first grape brought to South America.

We took this tour last year. The guide doesn’t speak English at all, and keep repeating the same information over and over. They also don’t let you move and ask you to be next to them all the time. Amazing place but awful guide

I booked this tour but the operator could not give me enough information so I could cover the gap days before and after their tour. The back and forth went on for days. I need to know where I am staying first and last night, they won't tell me until I give them my reservations for the dates before and after. WHAT?!?! Now, I've completely run out of time. So, I cancelled my own plans to see Auckland, New Zealand, so I could sit on a computer and make my own travel arrangements. What part of "this is my last day with internet connectivity" is not understandable? Not ready for prime time.

Recently my wife, my daughter and I took a trip to Chile. We were going to be in Santiago for a day in between traveling from Patagonia to San Pedro de Atacama. We were referred to FoodTrip to provide tour guide services as we wanted to spend some time in the wine region and visit Valparaiso. Our day was very full. Keryma was our guide and we could not have been happier. Our day started first visiting a local restaurant for a bite of breakfast. Truly authentic. Then off to a local winery. I have been to many wineries but never had such a wonderful time. This was a very small winery where we were met by the owner. We spent a couple of hours enjoying the day, the wine and the company. How fortunate we were to have had that experience. From the winery we drove to Valparaiso where we had a late lunch at one of the most unique and interesting restaurants in Valparaiso. It is not often one has the experience to have the chef/owner greet you and then prepare super good food to order. Following our lunch was tour of Valparaiso. I wished we would have had more time there. So to sum it up, if you are looking for the local experience with excellent guide services I highly recommend FoodTrip. A special thank you to Keryma. My wife, my daughter and I feel we made a very good friend.

A country with a very special geography invites us to visit Valparaiso and viña del mar which will bring us closer to history 120 kilometers from the capital, passing through valleys which give us a vision of central Chile so your guide stop for your wine tasting , when we reach the coast we can see the real meaning of the port city of Valparaiso, the first foot of the history of Chile a whole landscape like a rainbow is a perception of something that calls the popular and traditional inmercion and then viña del mar that is a very different and very beautiful city, which reminds us of its first social group aristocracy that I inhabit the garden city as they call it now a great contrast between both cities exploring history and the miscelanio of the city of viña del mar as a citizen. we back to the city and we can drop off to you at the airport or to the hotel. REMEMBER THE GUIDE WILL BE WAITING AT THE PIER FOR YOU AND READY TO START THE ACTIVITY.

My aunt and I went on a tour to Viña Del Mar & Valparaíso with Daniel and the driver Alejandro. They are friendly, funny and extremely patient. Not only do they do their jobs well done, but they are always giving pertinent tips on the cheapest market, where to eat and the better deals. Daniel not only takes us roaming through the two cities but also makes remarks about the smallest details, as well as historic and geographical context. He’s the full package, he even takes great pictures of all the tourists in group (in our case nicknamed the “mafia simpática” ????????????)! Congratulations on a job done with excellence, we can tell how much you do it with passion. I recommend the tour with these guys, it’s a great time guaranteed and p.s. they make extra stops to take advantage of the great landscape so we can take great pictures). I was simply enchanted!
