The northwest market town of Sapa is colorful and charming, providing the perfect oasis in the midst of a strenuous mountain trek or rice-paddy tour. The Gothic stone church at the center of town is a bull’s-eye in the center of shops and stalls, serving as a reminder of the town’s French missionary influence. Dine on Vietnamese or European-inspired cuisine downtown, and don’t miss the Saturday night "love market," one of the most potent—and strictest—single’s nights imaginable.

Chose this tour company thru my canadian travel agent. Excellent choice. It was a private tour. Our guide, our driver my husband and I. It was a good choice considering the covid 19 epidemic. From beginning to abrupt end of our tour we had excellent knowledgeable guides and top drawer accommadations. The tours were well planned and gave us a good understanding of their homeland and what made them proud. We had time to investigate things on our own as well. Unfortunately we had to leave one week early but plan to return one day. We would not hesitate using this company again. We are in our 60's and our activities met our abilities. Felt safe and well informed with necessary changes. We were given a refund for places we were unable to go to

We booked through one of the many travel agencies in Hanoi. Our first cruise was cancelled because of a corona virus scare, but Silversea Cruise honored our booking the next day. We were relieved and our tour guide Noi was very helpful, friendly and informative. The ship was beautiful and clean, our room was comfortable and clean and the staff was kind and professional. The trip had many great activities and was also very relaxing. We would do it again! Highly recommend.

We booked a 4 days treking tour from Sapa with this agency (4 adults and 6 children). Unfortunately, we can not make a good review because the price- performance ratio was very bad. We have been living in Vietnam for 2 years now and travelled a lot inside Vietnam so we can evaluate a good/bad service. We accepted to pay an important amount of money for this trip hoping that we could have a better service but things didn t go that way... We also had, before the trip, a very clear vision regarding the living conditions in different villages. So we didn t expect to have luxury or modern facilities. Our disapointment is not caused by a lack of information or realism previous to the trip. It is caused by the lack of responsiveness and organization of this agency. They didn t do their job to check the places we slept over and prepare them before our arrival. In one homestay, we had worms falling on us from the mosquito screen, the bed smelled very bad ( urine)... this could have been avoided if they have done their job by asking the owners of the place to clean before our arrival. The places we ate during the day were very commun, no view, no charm and especially very bad quality. In one of the restaurants, we put our bag in a dog or cat pooh... in another restaurant we didn even eat one of the dishes, because it looked very unhealthy. We payed a lot of money, so they had, in theory, the budget to pay a bit more for a more decent place but they prefered to keep that money for themselves. Or, if there are not such places, then they should ask less money for their treking. We find them very unprofessional. They got us once, it won t happen a second time...

Local markets are very colorful places where the treasure of cultures, traditions and wealth of the local people is expose, especially in the mountain areas of northern Vietnam. We had an amazing experience when we were on the cruise ship! But when we were picked up on the bus for our drive to the cruise ship, we were very uncomfortable with our guide. The man in charge made multiple jokes about making us eat dog while on the cruise. We understand there are some cultural differences, but we were not expecting to have our honeymoon cruise start with a man showing us dead dog, snake, and other animals on his phone, really committing to making us uncomfortable for the joke, while we are stuck on a bus for hours with no way to remove ourselves. Many people on the bus were confused about if his jokes were for real. The start made me frantically google Saphire Cruises to make sure I didn’t imagine the glowing reviews. It was shocking and disappointing. Once the man got us to the cruise ship we were relieved to find that the rest of the guides and staff were absolutely wonderful. Amazing guides, lots of chances to explore and learn. Beautiful views and great accommodations. It’s too bad that the horrible start is what sticks with me.
