Adrian was prompt picking us up in the morning as we settled into a pleasant drive to Braşov. Stopped for a quick coffee about halfway. Adrian showed us around Braşov and gave us plenty of time to explore on our own. We then drove to Bran Castle and Adrian was so knowledgeable about the history as he gave us a private tour. Finally we went to Peles Castle and once again astounded us with his depth of knowledge. Amazing day, one a highly recommend.

Visit the most elegant city in Bulgaria, Ruse. Due to its prosperity in the 19th century, the city acquired a pronounced central European look and was even titled a “Little Vienna”. You will start exploring Ruse from the Freedom Square, adorned with beautiful little park and fountains, the square still preserves the ambience of the old times. Bulgarian rich history and traditions will be revealed to you during the visit to Ruse Museum of History. It occupies a former local court building and has an exposition of around 140 000 items. Roman Fortress of Sexaginta Prista, overlooking the Danube, was once a mighty strategic Roman fort. Our guide will walk you through centuries of history to bring the place back to life. Lose track of time when visiting the oldest church of Ruse - Holy Trinity Church, constructed during the Ottoman rule and aiming to be as unobtrusive as possible, it goes below the ground level. The tour will end in a relaxing walk on the Danube Riverbank.

I booked this within 2 hours of the start of the tour on my last day in Belgrade and it was absolutely worth it. My guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. He even took me to the airport at the end so that I could catch my flight. You know it was a good tour when you feel like you’re leaving the city too soon.

We had originally ordered the 5-day trip "Maramures, Bucovina & Danube Delta". Due to changes in flight times, we had to rebook the trip to a personal 4-day trip. We were in Sinaia, Bran, Brașov, Tulcea and Constanța. Despite the problem with the airline, it was no problem for Travelmaker to make changes and adapt the trip to the new conditions. Which we are very happy about. Travelmaker was very accommodating. We had a guide named Daniel during the trip, and Daniel was both nice and very knowledgeable. Which will make the whole trip to a magnificent trip. If you like nature, this was the perfect trip, even if we probably missed out on other experiences that the original 5-day trip would provide. I can highly recommend this trip and Travelmaker.
We leave Bucharest in the morning from our starting point and drive to bulgarian border, Ruse. We’ll cross the Danube River and in approximately 1,5 hours we arrive at Basarbovo Monastery. This is cave monastery, bulgarian-orthodox founded in the Second Bulgarian Empire. Our next stop is at the famous city Veliko Tarnovo, a place with a history more than 5000 years. The focus point of this experience is Tsaravets Palace. This place served as a royal residence for the bulgarian emperors between 1185 and 1393 and was built on the ruins of a byzantine city. After we finish visiting this marvelous place we’ll get lost among the old streets of the city and we’ll have our traditional lunch.
