A friend and I spent a three hour private tour with Elisa, going through key Ravenna historical sites. The sites have been impressive, particularly inside of the churches, as I found them to be more spectacular then elsewhere in Emilia Romagna. I particularly enjoyed the private chapel of a bishop, situated inside the museum which was the last stop on our tour. Elisa is not only knowledgable and competent, with a great command of English, but also curious, smart and socially intelligent lady who gave us a good look in not only Ravenna history, but also its present through an interesting conversation and a few laughs. Well worth your time and money.

This 1-hour private tour of the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe will allow you to discover one real hidden gem of Ravenna (and of the whole Italy!). Sant'Apollinare in Classe, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has been described as the most impressive Basilica of the Early Christian period. Despite the plundering it suffered over the centuries, the basilica has preserved the splendour of its original building. It is now admired for its beautiful polychrome apse mosaics and ancient marble sarcophagi of archbishops, placed along the aisles. This impressive church rises in all its solemn grandeur at a distance of 8 kilometres from the centre of Ravenna. Commissioned by archbishop Ursicino, the church was built by Julian Argentarius during the first half of the 6th century, on an ancient burial area used in the late 2nd or early 3rd century. Apparently, Saint Apollinaris - one of the first bishops of Ravenna - was buried here.
Inclusions: Private tour guide, entrance ticket to the basilica

Spending the day with Annarita was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge of and passion for this magnificent part of history is unmatched. We were having such a great time connecting with her that our time went by so quickly. We’ll be requesting her for future tours in the area, for sure. We’ll also be returning to the palace now that we have a better understanding of its history. Treat yourself to this very special experience!

Absolutely breathtaking beautiful and easy to get to from Bologna on the regional train. Our guide Marta was well educated and very knowledgeable of the Mosaics and their histories. Best Tour!! I’m Roman, I was born here and I live here. I was quite skeptical when I friend of mine literally dragged me to this guided tour of the main touristic spots in the center of Rome. We spent 3 hours between Colosseum and Campidoglio. Damn!! It was great. Vincenzo is a Tour Guide and a storyteller at the same time. He is professional but his tale, full of details and curiosities, will really involve you and bring you back in the Ancient Rome. I do really recommend it.

We did a day tour of Rome (ahhhhmazing). We wanted to see the "REAL" Italy as well as the main attractions... Rudy took us exactly there. We had the best time with him, and learned so much information about the country, the people and the attractions that we would have never known from the every day conversations. We went to a restaurant for lunch and we were the ONLY tourists there! We loved that!!! We were so happy that we booked another day with Rudy to take us to the Amalfi Coast. It was a fantastic day too! We also toured the Vatican with Dominique. What a great day!! When we go back to Italy we WILL be contacting Rudy!! Could not recommend him more!!!
