Tahiti and Bora Bora are the most well known French Polynesian islands, thanks to their picture-perfect beaches and romantic ambiance. Indeed, these islands are ideal for handholding, with their lush landscapes and mood-setting features like lagoons and grottos. The heart-shaped island of Mo’orea makes a wonderful base for divers and snorkelers eager to explore its surrounding barrier reef system. Feeding the massive, sacred eels of Huahine is a one-in-a-lifetime way to experience an important local ritual.

The Pension Punua and Moana is located in Rangiroa on an exceptional site called the Green Lagoon. It consists of 6 bungalows can accommodate from 1 to 5 people. The accommodations are comfortable with bathrooms and separate wc. All bungalows of the guesthouse are on the beach.
Book this place if you're seeking the authentic Tuamotu experience with a friendly family host. The property consists of 6 bungalows fronting the "green lagoon" on the west part of the atoll across the Avatoru channel. The family offers boat shuttle service to and from the pension. The pristine lagoon also makes it an excellent place for swimming and snorkeling. Watch out for falling coconuts because there are coconut trees everywhere. Meals are offered during breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner by request and are served family-style. I also recommend booking a day excursion directly with the host to either Blue Lagoon or Reef Island while staying here.

Guesthouse situated in Rangiroa in french polynesia, near dives centers and shops. We propose a range of accomodation with breakfast and diner include. You can swim in the lagoon directly from the Guesthouse or take a drink on our deck and see the sunset. Also, at 5 minutes walking, you can see dolphins jumping into the Tiputa pass.
I stayed at this place after that place that starts with the letter V. I loved the people at this place. Nor a lot of English. But there is awesome snorkeling and sun tanning right off the porch. And it's near food and the pier and the ferry. The food was good but not great, but they might take it off your bill if you tell them you won't it beforehand.

Fare Rea Rea is a beautiful and cozy hostel, with nice rooms and amazing garden with a swimming pool. Luc, Laurence and their sons are a really charming and welcoming family. They have great knowledge about Papeete/Tahiti so they've been very helpful with whatever we needed. The hostel itself is well located, comfortable and clean. The private apartment with 2 rooms it's also great. Don't hesitate to book your stay in Papeete with them. I highly recomend it!! Mauruuru for everything Luc&Laurence

A nice place to just rest up after a island hopping- strong AC, hot shower, fast wifi, helpful owner, nearby a grocery store, and kitchen in the back. A couple notes is that the room is rather small, you can hear the planes landing from the airport, the TV's wire doesn't connect to the outlet. There were no cars available for rent, so make sure you call far in advance to book!

vaitumu village is a small family hotel enjoying one of the most beautiful surroundings of rurutu. Located on a plot of over one hectare, our garden has many fruit trees and colorful flowers testifying to the generosity of nature. large stones, arranged here and there, recall the mineral side of the island. our pension is lined with a long beach of white sand peaceful and well exposed to the sun.
drinks on bar are fine and served quickly. everybody is so helpful. they have own car to be driven around the island. they also rent cars or 4x4 SQUADS. swimming pool is clean and fairly large. probably only pension in Rurutu with pool. food is great with fish, meat, vegetable, and sweets for dinner. we like rooms in back not bungalws.

It is a camping ground with a couple of basic ”hotel rooms” to rent, with a communal kitschen area and showers and toilets. It’s right on the beach, which unfortunately is rocky. If you walk a short distanserar to the left there are sandy beaches. The place is fairly far away from the airport, but the owners, who are very pleasant, will pick you up at the airport and drive you there after your stay. On of the best restaurants of the island is within walking distance and there is a shop where you can buy fresh bread early in the morning. It is possible to get cooked dinners from the owners. You can borrow bicycles to explore the island. Unfortunately they are not maintained properly, with rusty chains etc. But the place is pleasant anyway.

A piece of paradise in the middle of the South Pacific, where the Polynesian "mana" will embrace you and heal you from the stress of everyday life. 5 bungalows, a fresh and refined cuisine with local ingredients and international savoir-faire. A beautiful coral garden and a lot of peace and quiet. Feel the pleasure of sharing a coral islet with few interesting and friendly people.
The little island is certainly beautiful and unique but French Polynesia is way too hot and humid to not have air conditioning in the bedrooms. The night we were there it was extremely hot and muggy (not unusual for FP) and it was impossible to sleep with just a ceiling fan pushing hot air around. This may not be an issue for some people but most visitors from the U.S. would expect air conditioning when it is as hot and humid as New Orleans in August. I think people should be aware of this, especially since Tripadvisor says they do have A/C in the rooms. The food is also nothing like the photos or reviews on Tripadvisor. There has clearly been a change in management/chef since most of the reviews were written (everyone's name is different even from reviews in 2021) and the food is quite average. This is actually a big deal as there is no other option for food except their fixed menu...quite a disappointment based on the stellar reviews. There is also no WiFi in the rooms (something Tripadvisor says that they have), you have to go out to the main dining area to get even a very slow connection. Overall, a much more rustic experience than the reviews, website and price would lead you to believe. If you're OK with that, then I'm sure you'll really enjoy the beauty of this unique place.

Welcome to our place!I'm Annette and my husband is Marc- Andre an artist painter You will stay in a bungalow by the lagoon, almost overwater. It's independent of the main house, has it's own private shower, toilet and kitchen. It's located in an exotic garden with waterfall and goldfish pond at the edge of the lagoon with stunning views over the motu Tevairoa, the island of Maupiti. Swimming, snorkeling for coral and fish discovery in front of the house, in the lagoon.Bikes and kayaks for sports, hamock and transat for a great relaxing vacation. Sunset for happy hour !
I visited Annette in May 2019 and this must have been one of the best values i have ever had. Your bungalow sits right on the water with great snorkeling and not being a resort you really have the chance to get immersed into the daily life on the island. The sunsets are amazing off the porch. Annette will let you know about events going on that you won't be aware of when staying in those fance resorts. I absolutely would stay again.
