Quirky and charming place in the heart of l’Emporda. Amazing restaurants nearby and great hosts! Thank you Kim and Olga for a lovely stay! Púbol is also a great little village with lovely places just walking distance.

The host was lovely and the house is comfortable and traditional on the edge of a small medieval town. She is friendly, helpful and accommodating; Eg she asked us when we wanted breakfast. And it was a Tasty wholesome breakfast with homemade yogurt, granola and carrot cake.

Every year we try to find a base for our active family. Can Piferrer has been perfect. It has lovely grounds which are perfect for hide and seek, football, cricket (!) plus of course the lovely salt water pool. Our apartment (El Forn) was comfortable (others are bigger) and Judith and Josep could not be more thoughtful and welcoming. We made lovely friends (both Spanish and English (based in France)) and enjoyed numerous suppers outside overlooking the foothills of the Pyrenees on one side and the Costa Brava on the other. You can go for a run, take the bikes out for a spin or just take it easy. We did all of this and more besides. Highly recommended for a rustic break.

Cash Del Pi is nestled in the a small village on a mountain in the heart of the famous wine region, the Penedes. A stunning drive through the vineyards and pine forests makes the journey very worth while! Cash del Pi itself is a beautiful B&B, with a stunning outside area! The owners Santi and his wife are the perfect hosts, very relaxed and peaceful but always on hand to answer questions, cook amazing food, provide you with local wines and also show you around their wonderful gardens full of strange plants, cactus and the most amazing family made Mosaic! We invited Santi on our last night to dine with us and share a bottle of wine or 2 from his cellar, rarely have we ever visited anywhere that we have felt so welcome and at home! We will definitely be back and with friends and family! Thankyou for a wonderful experience! Adam and Alicia Hulme

Pico Russell is a Bed&Breakfast accommodation located in the Aran Valley in the heart of the Pyrenees, where we have preserved and restored all the original elements of the traditional construction Aranesa. This traditional house is designed for all guests who want to take a trip in time and want to stay in a genuine mountain atmosphere, far from the standards of a hotel and very close to a family, to feel like a "house the old ", where you can hear the crackling of the wood, sit by the fire with its large fireplace, smell mountain and village and wake up to the sound of church bells. On the ground floor of the house, we found the common areas, a spacious living room and the bar where breakfasts and dinners upon request and reservation service. On the first floor are three apartment-style rooms as they have a living room with refrigerator and microwave and the top floor are two attic rooms ideal for couples or families with a small child because they are airy and very spacious. If you want to explore the Aran Valley, come and meet, both my husband and I have been more than sixteen years living in the valley and you can inform and advise on routes, activities and cuisine to make your experience unique.

The short scenic drive through the mountains to reach this site is breathtakingly beautiful. This attractively terraced campsite next to the Cadi-Moixero Natural Park, is not far from the majestic Pedraforca mountain, and the area is a favourite for Catalan climbers and walkers. Access on the site is quite easy for large units, although the road from Guardiola de Berguedà is twisting. Of the 73 grass or gravel pitches, there are 40 for touring, all with 6A electricity. The welcoming and helpful campsite owners will do all in their power to make your stay enjoyable. For a small site, there are excellent facilities including a large and a smaller swimming pool. The site has a strong ecological ethos and has been awarded environmental certificates. People are attracted by the natural beauty of the area, pretty villages, wild flowers, wonderful walks, and interesting local attractions including sea salt mountains.
Great campsite, very friendly reception, clean and tidy, lovely, well kept , and with a nice medium sized swimming pool, ideal for cooling off. Great views and good walking to be had nearby.. Can recommend with confidence!

I ask myself - what's the best part about this b&b? Is it that your car is met by two dogs eager to welcome you? Or the charming owners? Or the relaxing atmosphere? Or the perfect installations? Or the generous breakfast? I guess we'd have to open a poll, because for me it's impossible to decide. Also I am torn between spreading the word and keeping it to myself so I am sure to find a room next time... The house is located next to a creek, in the middle of a rural environment, out of sight of any other civilization, and everything is the way it was 100 years ago...so you might expect creaky faucets, damp walls, bugs and heavy wool blankets. Instead, you find everything has been renewed - keeping the old style, including visible enlaced cables and twist switches...the walls are thick and stone, but not cold, and there's great heating...they apologized for the poor wifi signal, but I was able to do everything I needed with less signal droppage than at my house. The breakfast was diverse and abundant, homemade omelets and cakes included, no need for lunch! The room was large, with a big sofa and desk (not just a symbolic easy chair with a small table, as in many places). More room and hangars in the closet than most 5-star hotels, and all the towels and bedspread have the lovely logo from Casa Horta... All of this made the stay wonderful, but what made it truly unique was the warm welcome and treatment from the hosts. Jordi and Marcelo are charming, generous to a fault, and fun to talk with. The book selection in my room included a book on dachshunds, another book in Chinese...about as eclectic as you can imagine. Whether you want to bunker down or go out exploring, this is a great venue for a day, weekend, or even a week.
