We stayed one night. We were welcomed to an open fire in a cosy lounge area, had a great sauna and a swim in the small indoor pool, before enjoying a very nice meal - the soup was exceptional. The area is good for walking and biking. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The room we had was basic, not luxury, but comfortable. The small pool has a swim-jet system installed, but it wasn't working yet due to a previous maintenance problem. I'm sure it will be great, once that is working. There are building improvements/renovations underway. However, they don't appear get in the way of, or disturb, the guests. Recommendations: For the sauna, make sure you start the heating at least 20 mins before taking the sauna. For the pool, if you are a swimmer, check the swim-jet is operational.

We wanted to visit Nieuwpoort (with our young daughter) for our wedding anniversary. We love the area, and although this was our third visit wanted to find somewhere quiet, in the countryside, where we could really enjoy time to ourselves. Groot Noordhof is wonderful. The accommodation is converted farm buildings, light, airy and with incredible brickwork (the brick ceilings are amazing). The decor is minimalist and yet warm. We loved the bathroom, with its sweeping clay colour sink and inviting shower. Every detail has been thought about, and it works really well. The living room area was spacious with a great open-plan kitchen. There is lots of seating, including a sofa, a comfy chair and dining table - but lots of space also for our toddler to run around! A cot was also provided which left us more room in the car for some wine to take back from the local Carrefour! Despite the windy wet weather the apartment was really snug - it felt so homely and we really appreciated that. The breakfast is amazing - we would definitely recommend this - lovely yoghurt, fruit, eggs, ham and cheese and tasty pastries. The whole package is just wonderful - friendly helpful and welcoming. We would definitely return, and wish the owners every success with their business, which is richly deserved. A few pointers on things we might improve - a frying pan or similar would be useful, and some kind of broom or dustpan would be great. We hunted throughout for one and couldn't find anything. Nice on one level not to have to clean, but actually easier to do so, especially with a messy little girl!

This holiday cottage is located in the Belgian village Teuven in the Voer-region (or “voerstreek”), near the border with the Netherlands. This cottage is part of a traditional half-timbered farmhouse. The front of this farmhouse is Tofinum A and the backside is Tofinum B. Both cottages can welcome up to 9 guests. In 2006 these cottages were completely renovated into two luxurious holiday accommodations. Your first encounter is with the beautiful private terrace in front of Tofinum A. Here you have your own private entrance to your cottage. A nice warm and cozy atmosphere awaits you as you enter through the open kitchen with the large dining and living room with wooden floors, a fireplace, the visible beam construction and authentic furniture. The house is tastefully decorated with a special attention to the details. There is a long dining table with a luster. Close to the fireplace there is a red sofa to deliciously plop down on without having to worry when to come off. From the living room you can see the country kitchen layout. It is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, large fridge with freezer, coffee machine and kettle. On the ground floor there is also a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. On the first floor you will find two large bedrooms with wooden floors and a second bathroom. The bedroom on the left side is for 3 persons and consists of a double bed and a single bed on a small mezzanine room. The bedroom on the right side has two double beds and can welcome 4 persons. The spacious bathroom has a shower, toilet and a sink. Naturally a baby cot and a highchair are available. Right in front of the Holiday cottage Tofinum there is a large private terrace. You can have your meals in the open air and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. This terrace is adjacent to the terrace of Tofinum B but will nevertheless provide sufficient privacy thanks to the hedges that surround it. Outside the private terrace is the 300m2 communal garden where you can find a lovely spot to read a book or just enjoy the sun and watch your children play. In the garden there is also a play area for the kids with a trampoline, a football scorer and a tree house. You can also relax and enjoy the six-person sauna with lounge chairs available for the guests of Tofinum A and B. Teuven is a real paradise for walkers and cyclists. Nature lovers can really enjoy their stay here. The front door of Tofinum is an excellent starting point for your walks. Walkers with a little patience may even spot hawks, red kites or tawny owls. Wild boars and nearly all other European forest animals are present everywhere in the surrounding forests of Teuven. So what are you waiting for? Honor Tofinum A with your visit, don’t let the many trails unscathed, have a Teuven’s beer on one of the terraces in the village and then go back with satisfaction to the charming half-timbered cottage where you can reminisce all the beauty of the places you have just experienced!
