I attended a conference/competition for the Texas Dept. of Public Safety-Texas Challenge. This was held indoors with the event being in air conditioning, which I am very grateful! Center was clean and well organized.

What a beautiful time of the year to celebrate the holidays in Downtown Houston. The Alley Theatre is showcasing the Christmas Carol online, as well as the gorgeous Deck the Hall stunner in the windows of George R Brown Convention Center. As you stroll and look into the window, there are signs with a QR code and the name of the Christmas tree themed designers. It’s so hard to choose your favorite to vote for because they are all so wonderful. A lot of thought and creativity went into it. I truly had a great time since the weather cooperated and I didn’t need a jacket. There are bikes and scooters to rent. And ice skating at Discovery Green. The entire family will enjoy it.

Open to the public, Quail Valley hosts two of Houston's best golf courses, The Bluebonnet Grille restaurant, and a beautiful 25,000 sq. ft. clubhouse venue for weddings and group events. Set in Missouri City, TX (adjacent to Sugar Land in Southwest Houston), Quail Valley is a programming site for the First Tee of Houston, hosts a great driving range and practice facility for golfers, and features multiple ballroom options supported by professional banquet staff and event services that are renown throughout Houston.
Played here about 3 weeks ago and enjoyed the course. I am on the Golfweek Houston Amateur Tour and this was the next stop at the time. From what I remember, the course was about position not to mention the 190 yard plus par 3's the course offered from the tees we played. Elevation changes, thick rough around the greens and deep bunkers with fluffy sand. One par 3 on the back 9, I hit my ball short and left and it plugged in the bunker. I had no shot at the pin so tried to hit it to the back of the green. To my dismay, it hit the lip of the bunker and rolled back in. Ended up with a double bogey but would recommend this course to players of all skill levels. Would definitely play here again.
