If I could give this place a rating of no "stars" I would since it doesn't deserve even one. I have stayed here numerous times in the past and I knew exactly what to expect - a simple, basic, reasonable place to stay but not this time. The property gets worse and worse each time - even the difference between my stay a month ago and the recent stay is significant. I had booked 4 nights as I needed to be in the area for work - in 4 nights the bed was not made once and the sheets were never changed. The trash in the kitchenette was not emptied. The kitchen has one outlet for the electric kettle and the microwave and the hotplate (which is hiding in the cabinet) so that you have to constantly be plugging and unplugging appliances. The kitchen sink was stained and dirty. The tub which was a jacuzzi had rust at all the jets and had numerous stains, the shower curtain was moldy, ceramic tiles on the bathroom walls looked like they were going to fall out. The balcony had dirty coffee cups and a bowl full of cigarette butts and ashes, plus had not been swept or washed in forever. There were loose outlets falling out of the wall, the heating- air conditioning unit took an advanced degree to figure out how to make it work and then it did not work well - it had to be set at the highest possible setting (30 deg C) to feel comfortable - windows and balcony door did not shut well and were a source of cold air. There was one thin blanket on the bed. The breakfast (which is served at the hotel next door) had erratic food - all the hot/cooked foods were extremely oily - all of these foods on heat trays were never hot, barely warm and even when an omelette was made to order it was cold and greasy - not a good way to start the day. The free wi-fi is erratic - there were times I gave up on it and simply used my phone data plan with my phone as a hot spot. There's more but you get the picture. When I brought these concerns to the front desk clerk while I was checking out - he attacked me and said that I should have told him sooner and check out was not the time for this. I asked him to relay my concerns to the management to which he responded that he is the manager and that with my attitude he does not want me as a customer ever again. So I conclude with - he will never have me as a customer ever again and I urge everyone to go anywhere else.

My adult son and I spent several nights at this vintage property. Our charming, comfortable and clean room was a good size with a small refrigerator & counter area, and the bathroom was clean but not updated. We considered this an adventure and most likely would stay here again as the location was perfect for our explorations of Biblical sites. Parking was free and easy at a back lot on the property. Unrefined public stone stairs to the lake-side promenade are a shortcut for the sure footed. Otherwise, the street will safely lead you down to the promenade and several restaurants not far below. We walked into town both evenings for dinner which was far more lively than near the lake. Ask for restaurant recommendations when you check in, as there are some very good local restaurants to choose from. Our room was situated directly across from an impressive "Fortress", built of stone in 1745 by Chulaybee, the son of a Bedouin ruler in Galilee. It is an impressive structure, and along with the views of the Sea of Galilee from the terrace, which some of the rooms also have, makes this a good place to stay. The rates were reasonable; however, there is generally no management on-site. After our check-in, we were on our own and never saw the friendly manager after that. Overall, it was an interesting cultural experience. Please note that not all rooms feature the lovely stone wall as shown on the website.

Avoid. The place is beautiful on the outside but neglected on the inside. One faulty shower. In the second shower room the floor is flooded with water every time and there is no way to clean. Also in the kitchen the floor with water leaking from the coffee machine on the floor. We have no problem with simplicity but the place is neglected and not maintained, if we had an alternative we would have left a day later. We spent 3 nights there.

The hotel comprises a series of kibbutz-style low buildings with three rooms to each building and three buildings around each courtyard. This affords a lot of privacy and quiet and the whole feeling is very pastoral and relaxed. Our room was clean and bright. It comprised a sleeping area (which in our case was three beds), a toilet/shower and a kitchenette in the entrance passage. There is a microwave, a kettle and a small fridge in the kitchenette. If you want to prepare food there is a table outside and a full-size sink and stone top shared between the three rooms. The room is air-conditioned and the a/c worked well to achieve and maintain the desired temperature. There is free Wifi around the rooms, and also a TV connected to YES in the room. The third bed had another one pull-out underneath, but I think the room would be crowded with that. Breakfast (rabanut kosher) is served in the kibbutz cafe a couple of minutes walk from the room. There were salads, eggs, breakfast cereals, pancakes and pastries. The food was very good. For dinner, Amiad is five minutes by car from Rosh Pina which has a selection of restaurants. Check-in and out is totally contactless and done via a box on the outside of the hotel office.

We stayed here for two nights. Good: Extremely clean inside the cabin and outside. Extremely nice owners/managers of the property. Very well appointed aesthetically with interesting touches everywhere. Excellent wifi. Not so good: We thought there was a swimming pool on the property (mentioned in description). There was not. Nor was there a community pool (closed, the manager said, because of Corona). The bed was uncomfortable--essentially 2 single beds pushed together. The yard was overrun with cats: difficult to eat in the patio area--continually had to chase them away. You will need mosquito repellent. Expensive: just like all places in Israel these days. A better rating for this location would be 7 out of 10 instead of "very good"
