Reviewed By TJandTRThe hotel has underground parking, but it is in Old Town, so we returned our car to the Hbf and took a taxi. Our large 1-bedroom apartment was quiet and comfortable. The bed and pillows were superb. The fullystocked kitchen had a fridge, microwave, 2 burners and sink. We appreciated the in-bathroom clothes washer. KONSUM Express grocery was a 5 minute walk and had foods for dinners and breakfasts. Our room faced the big square, which meant we heard buskers (often off-key) but they quit at dark. Our only complaint was the intermittent to no WiFi during our three day-stay.

Reviewed By 954camielsLast stay of our tour through east and north east Germany. And the best location of the three: Felix is coming across as a different type of place to stay and it is! First, the location is very central and convenient for a (tourist) visit to Dresden! From the rooftop bar (with beach sand and chairs), you are overlooking the Zwinger! The only downside of the location is that we had to park our car a bit further away to reduce the fees for a 4 day stay. The rooms are great as well: with a teenager in tow, we had a room with a living/dining room, a kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms. The furnishings are functional and look like recycled material: odd at times, but comfortable and functional. The bed side lamps in our room were especially funny: made from plumbing. Only one draw-back: for such a modern and trendy place, the WiFi was abysmal. So make sure you have your own data bundle!

Lovely Apartment in a Great Location
Reviewed By jlfwilsonMy husband and I stayed here with our two teenagers. The apartment was lovely, spacious and located close to the train station. It was nice to have the kids in their own room and a sitting room. The staff at reception was warm and welcoming. All of the old city highlights were in walking distance. We really had a wonderful stay.

High quality apartments in quiet setting
Reviewed By HushmoreStopped here for two nights during a tour of Germany. The apartment is in a smart and upmarket suburb of Dresden, about 25 minutes on a tram or bus from the centre of the city (old town) or 15 minutes from the new town and then a 10 minute walk. Weisser Hirsch has a number of small restaurants and shops, but the city is in easy reach thanks to the regular bus service. The building is very smart in an old fashioned way. We had an apartment on the top floor which, whilst small, was clean and well furnished. Basic cooking facilities are provided as well as a smart and well appointed bathroom with shower and stunning views across the city. This was great value for when we visited in the height of summer and provided you are happy to have a short traveltime into Dresden, this is a really good choice if you are exploring the city but want some peace and quiet. We even noticed some residents having a BBQ outside and if you are staying a longer period this is good for socialising. Well recommended for a budget stay.

Küche ist sehr notbedürftig eingerichtet, nichtmal Salz oder Öl gibt es und die Pfannen und töpfe haben auch ihr leben hinter sich, nicht alle Lichter in der wohnung gehen und die türöffner funktionieren nicht.jedes mal mussten wir runter gehen oder hoch zum Tor laufen bei Besuch. sowie ist der Fernseher kaputt, Kaffeemaschine und Spülmaschine defekt und nicht zu gebrauchen.Dann Permanente lüftungsgeräuche aus dem wc, geht nicht aus und erhellt die ganze Nacht die ganze Wohnung mit nervenden Geräuschen. Alles zusammen ist alles sehr verlebt und in die Jahre gekommen. Überhaupt nicht gut gereinigt und auch keine Utensilien zum selbst reinigen ..,nichtmal ein Lappen oder glasreiniger vorhanden. Die Katzenhaare gehen garnicht. Das muss besser gereinigt werden und auch unbedingt informiert werden für Allergiker das dieses Apartment mit Tierhaaren verseucht ist.wir haben jeden abend probleme gehabt bei den Kindern wie auch bei uns,alles juckt und war angeschwollen.kein Wunder bei den fussel-teppichen, diese sind voll damit.überall katzenhaare!!! das grenzt schon an Körperverletzung. Wir haben neben langen haaren im Bett auch dort noch katzenhaare entdeckt.absolutes no go. Wir haben versucht mit dem Vermieter eine vernünftige Lösung zu finden .Dieser reagiert nicht nicht mal auf die Kritik. SORRY ABER GEHT GARNICHT. Nicht zu empfehlen...

Reviewed By Tigger763I stayed in the City Residence for 4 nights during Easter holidays with my two boys. The apartment itself was fine however my experience with the owner was far from pleasant. I booked the trip back in January clearing stating I was travelling alone with 2 children and on my arrival I was greeted with the children are a problem! I thought the owner was joking! He was not and went on as to how the apartment was not suitable for children and that I had told him I was bringing them! I explained that I had and would never have booked without informing the ages of my boys (3 and 5 yrs). I was eventually brought up to the apartment and again I was told this was a problem. I honestly couldn't see the issue, this went on for at least ten minutes. I had brought the booking email with me for the address and showed the owner where it said the ages of the boys when I made the booking enquiry in January to be told that he must have forgotten! I was very upset at this stage after a long day travelling and asked did I need to find somewhere else to stay? The response was no it was my problem and that I needed 2 good eyes and that he hoped I would still be happy when I was leaving on Sunday! The only reason I stayed as it was close to my brother who is living in Dresden, we were out every day and only there at night to sleep. I emailed the owners on my return to explain how upset I was at my treatment on my arrival but a week later I still have not received a response. This was the owners mistake not mine if back in January they had informed me the apartment was not suitable for children I would have booked somewhere else. I travel to Dresden annually but will not stay here again.

A Good Option
Reviewed By onthego321If you have a car or care to take the nearby train into the city, this is a reasonable, budget friendly choice. The property is situated in a residential neighborhood, high up on a hill, with pretty views. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The price for a two bedroom apartment was very reasonable; however the furnishing were somewhat dated.
