After many years of hard work, the "Sleeping Beauty" has awoken from its slumber. The city is beautifully restored and has an ultra-modern public transport system. The “Port of the Moon” is also now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Stone Bridge, with its 17 arches, crosses the Garonne, offering pedestrians a lovely view over the docks and harbor. Take a stroll through old Bordeaux in the Triangle d'Or and stop at Place des Quinconces, France’s largest public square. The city of Bordeaux is an ideal base for exploring the greater wine region’s unforgettable sights and tastes.

Stayed for 3 nights. Too cramped for 2 adults and 2 children in a family room. Unfortunately the pool was closed for 2 days during our stay, which was very disappointing. There was nothing else in the way of facilities. When we checked out, I was asked if we'd enjoyed our stay, when I said the pool was closed the receptionist decided to argue with me, making the experience even worse.

Room was not properly cleaned on arrival; even after asking to clean it again, during the whole week noone passed by. One has to change towels by himself. Staff was very unprofessional and unwilling to help out with any issue. Quality of the bed was extremely poor. There was a noisy fan in the room that was running 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and could not be switched off, so it was impossible to sleep during night.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 months and our experience wasn't satisfying! The cleaning service wasn't regular and they entered the room inappropriate hours. Also when we announced them(20 days notice)that we would like to leave the room earlier and asked them for a refund at first the manager accepted it and told us to send an email , which answered 3 days later with a negative answer and then she played with us told us in person that she would try and to give a partial refund and after one week another email that she couldn't do anything to get our money back! We didn't care so much for the refund but for her behavior. She treated us like we were idots! The rest of the staff was polite and helpful!

First reason to choose this hotel is that it has reasonable price and near to train station and city bus/tram stop. There are a lot of halal restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. There are also a few supermarkets near the hotel. The room is clean and spacious with a double bed, a sofa bed and small dining table. The kitchenette is equip with kettle, electric stove, microwave, fridge, pan/pot and kitchenware (but no knife) adequate to cook/warm your breakfast or simple lunch. This hotel will be in my travel list.

We have stayed in the hotel before as we have family nearby. We went out for dinner and came back to our key fob not working and we were unable to get back into our room. We called the emergency number on the door as the reception is closed between 7pm and 7am and there are no hotel employees on the premises during this time. We spoke to a guardian who spoke no English and poor French who told us that he would do a security round around midnight but we would have to stay outside until then - it was 8.30pm! We said that this was impossible and that we needed to get back into the room, to which he told us that it was not his problem. After a 30 minute discussion he got us to open a key safe and take another room card and said we should stay in another room for the night - obviously not a solution as we had medication in the room that needed to be taken, to which he replied it wasn't his problem and we should have taken it with us to dinner. At this point we asked to speak to a supervisor and threatened a formal complaint. He finally accepted to make the 30 minute drive to the hotel from where he was but when he got here had no idea how to open the room. It took another hour to find a solution. Although the reception the next morning agreed that this was unacceptable and the receptionist was understanding, we have decided to go elsewhere and we are yet to see a reimbursement for this terrible customer service.

May be ok in the winter months but n the summer avoid like the plague. Rooms are baking hot and full of mosquitoes if you keep the windows open. Looks like it has been built out of pre fab shipping containers in China and hotel assembled in a week in Bordeaux. How long the interiors will last is anyones guess. I checked out after 1 night and lost money on 2nd night.

In the heart of Bordeaux and just a stone's throw from the Cite du Vin and Garonne river, our residence will be the perfect place for your stay in Bordeaux. 300m away from the tram line B, which allows you to reach the city center, the Bordeaux-Bassin a flot residence offers 104 spacious, air-conditioned rooms from 1 to 4 people. All the rooms are bright, with a kitchen, tv, phone and wifi...
The hotel is probably one of the worst I stayed in. Some of the staff are nice, but some are just plain rude, behaving as if they are doing you a favour to even speak to you. The breakfast is below average with many things missing most of the time with a very limited range, including microwaved scrambled eggs and raw heated up sausage. I stayed for 4 weeks during a work trip and the room is partially serviced once a week, with shampoo not being replaced and with small two rolls of toilet paper given for a whole week of stay - if you went to ask at the reception you were given such a look of disgust and contempt that made you feel very unwelcome. Most of the staff can barely speak English and if they do, they do so with a huge reluctance to answer, for a hotel this is appalling. My room smells of the water from the shower drain that is connected to other pipes and it is pretty unpleasant. Some of the linen looks worn out - but overall the bedding is ok. My colleague asked for a tablet for his dishwasher in the room where he was stayed and he was told by the receptionist to go to Carrefour and get it himself! Would not recommend unless you are on a really tight budget. I will certainly not come back again. PS: The young Rafael from the breakfast service was great.
