Long fought over by warring empires, the city of Yerevan survived centuries of foreign occupation, finally becoming independent with the fall of the Soviet Union. This capital city, a center of Armenian culture, has celebrated its freedom with a flurry of construction and a growing population. Despite this push forward, history survives in Yerevan - The Institute of Ancient Manuscripts houses books dating back to the 9th century, and the ruins of the Erebuni Fortress, built in 782 BC, still stand.

Its official name is "Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Academic Theater", or simply, "The Opera"! The magnificent building was designed by iconic Russian-born Armenian architect Alexander Tamanyan and was inaugurated in 1933. Nevertheless, its construction continued until 1953, when it finally ended. Under its very same roof, "The Opera" houses two halls, both shaped as amphitheaters and with perfect accoustics, offering busy and consistent programmes. Ballets, concerts and operas, of course, are scheduled all year round, with special attention to an Armenian traditional repertoire. While visiting Yerevan, check their programmes and maybe you have a chance to attend a superb presentation at the "Aram Khachaturyan Concert Hall" (1400 seats) or at the "Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Theater" (1200 seats). Just unmissable! Enjoy!

Kami Music Club is one of few clubs in Yerevan, where you can feel the relaxed atmosphere and listen to the top musicians of the city. Every day we have live performing artists and bands of various genres, and on Fridays and Saturdays performs our dance troupe. The club is located behind the Moscow theater. The program starts at 21:00. The entry is restricted by face control, club cards or private invitations. The club interior is minimalistic and made in oriental style. Here you can find a bar with a big variety of delightful alcoholic beverages, including fanciful cocktails.Moscafe menu will be at our guests' disposal. Theme and holiday parties as well as CD presentations are being held in Kami club. Regular visitors of the club also receive text messages with an invitation to spend another relaxed evening in Kami Club.

Club 12 is one of the most colorful, friendly, at the same time simple and luxurious establishments in our city. Club 12 is not only a place of entertainment and recreation. It's like a second home. Every evening, starting from 9 pm live music is playing. A unique atmosphere prevails in the club. Everyone loves to have fun, dance, so there are no tension and obsessions. This is not a youth club, and is mainly designed for middle-aged people.
Visited this club after business meeting to have a drink. Music and the ban are top level, the ambiance is like nowhere else in Yerevan. Large selection of cocktails and wines.

Really glad to see this cozy jazz club has reopened following renovation. The evening we went we enjoyed some excellent performances from a range of jazz musicians playing in different line-ups. And a warm, friendly welcome - in English, French and Italian as well as, obviously, Armenian and Russian. An absolute must if you're in Yerevan and like jazz. But the address above is incorrect - the club is at Sayat-Nova 7.
