This is a great show where the cast interact well with the audience. This was a fun and enjoyable show that appeals to all ages from young kids to adults, it weaves the true story with a strong thread of humour that everyone can enjoy. We had a great time and I recommend anyone visiting Strahan see it. One tip, wear warm cloths, they provide blankets but on a cold night it helps to be well dressed

I was made to feel so welcome walking in and the bar tender was engaging and friendly. I had a glass of sparking wine followed by a Tassie whiskey. The jazz duo added a lovely atmosphere. I especially loved the 2 comfy sofas at the front of the bar. Will be back.

Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal opened in 1837, with major additions in 1850 and 1890, and remains a living centre for the performing arts. It presents live theatre, contemporary music, dance and entertainment. Dubbed by Noel Coward "a dream of a theatre", the Theatre Royal is Australia's oldest working theatre and one of its most beautiful treasures.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Theatre Royal. The development is a most interesting blend of new and old. Hobart is so lucky to have kept the old theatre and its history intact. Our tour guide Kathy was enthusiastic and informative....she took us to all the nooks and crannies that, as a theatre goer, you would normally never get to see...she was also generous with her time and didn't rush.

Princess Theatre

Reviewed By rosemaryh363 - Australia, null

Went to see “A Sound of Music” at the Princess, by Encore, and also the Russian Ballet. Although small and a bit shabby, the theatre put on a good show on both occasions. Seating is fine, with good views available from most seats I imagine. The shows were top class and we are happy here in Launceston to have this venue for stage productions.
