The Straz Center began as a dream by visionary citizens of Tampa who persevered to bring to reality one of the finest performing arts centers in the nation. It is many things to many people and it’s more than just a building, more than just a performing arts center. It is a presenter, a producer, an educator, a community partner and an economic engine for the Tampa Bay area. It is a cornerstone of the Tampa Bay community. The Straz Center creates a regional economic impact of more than $100 million each year. To our local economy it can mean more tourists staying in hotels, eating in restaurants, shopping in stores and visiting other venues when they are here. At both the local and national level, it provides access to more than 700,000 people of all ages, abilities and cultures each year. It also provides jobs for artists and other professionals who have a passion for the arts and for our mission.
First time at the Straz Center. Area was hard to navigate as there is construction, however, we came in afternoon and bought tickets at box office saving service fees. Parking was convenient and walkable. Price for parking was reasonable. Now, about the show. It was awesome. We enjoyed it so much. The performers were outstanding. Voices incredible. The theater was the Jaeb which is small and perfect for this show. We highly recommend this show and the Straz Center. Whole area was pretty.

Great small venue for seeing amazing comics. Join their newsletter for good specials on tickets. They require a 2 item minimum of drinks/food per person but everything is tasty. We like the pretzels and desserts.

The USF Sun Dome is a great location for seeing comedians. Parking can be a little challenging but we were also running a bit late since our dinner ran longer than expected. But the little further we had to walk was no big deal. The venue is nice & clean and just the right size for every seat in the house to have a great view!

Outdoor Concert Music Venue
I saw Joan Jett with Heart here and the sound was amazing. It was clear and had good seating even though I was closer to the back. Definitely enjoyed it and would see a band here again.

I was a bit skeptical given some of the TA reviews but seeing DR with my teenager at the Tampa Orpheum was a great experience. We’ve been to several general admission venues and found this one to be exactly what we’ve come to expect. I’m sure experiences can vary by show. On the night we went: 1) Sound was great. 2) No troubles getting drinks or merch 3) Neighborhood very hip and seemed quite safe. 4) Entry was efficient. 5) Courteous crowd and sufficient security presence. So Five Stars or Circles or whatever. We had a great time and will come back.
