Nestled between the shrub-covered slopes of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the clear blue shores of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Barbara is California at its best. Mission Santa Barbara is an example of 18th-century religious architecture, boasting beautiful grounds and a wonderfully detailed interior. Work up an appetite with a walk through Shoreline Park, then dine above the water on Stearns Wharf. Fig trees, parks, waterfalls, and botanical gardens round out Santa Barbara’s natural beauty.

ETC's production of Jane Austen's Emma, with music and libretto by Paul Gordon, was hilarious and flawless! It was one of those novel and memorable theater experiences that I'll be enjoying in memory for a long time.

Originally founded in 1873 and rebuilt in 1924, the Lobero Theatre is recognized as one of Santa Barbara's architectural jewels and a State and City landmark. It is the home stage to most of the major performing arts groups in Santa Barbara. The Lobero LIVE series brings touring artists that enrich the cultural offerings available, focusing on genres which are most suitable for the hall’s intimacy and acoustics, including jazz, blues, bluegrass and folk. The Lobero Theatre has recently been named one of the best jazz venues in the world by leading jazz magazine, DownBeat.
Bach violin and piano evening. Small, intimate, great sound. Very good performance, of course. Free water, clean restrooms. What more could you want?

Home of the Santa Barbara Center for the Performing Arts, The Granada in beautiful Downtown Santa Barbara is a year-round entertainment venue featuring local and international acts on tour, including Classical and Pop concerts, Broadway musicals, Theatre, Dance and more. This is one of the old, beautifully preserved historic theatres. Perfectly located in vibrant downtown Santa Barbara with bars, restaraunts, coffee and shopping for before/after all performances. Grand, yet comfortable with modern amenities, we love seeing everything/anything at The Granada. Most don't know they are the home to Santa Barbara's resident ballet company, State Street Ballet! Always something for everyone - add to you "must do" list for SB trips.

The venue is a beautiful piece of property with some old roots and a lot of musical history behind it. Be prepared for the uphill hike once you clear security! I look forward to returning!

We were lucky to find out that Hana Aluna, daughter of rock star Kenny Loggins and an aspiring singer-songwriter, was performing at the Club. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, we enjoyed a lovely meal with the music, good wine, and had a really good evening. The music was great, too!! A very laid-back place and just what you expect the California music scene to be like. If you like music, go and check it out! Eating isn't a must.
