Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

This famous theater, home to a drama troupe that has been performing since 1680, routinely hosts classical French plays by Molière, Racine, Corneille and others.
The wonderful premises and its three theatres make the Comédie one of the workd’s icons as far as theatre is concernes. A great scenic art school, filled with great masters in the scene, this is an unmissable place. And if you can follow, do not miss one presentation. What a wonder of civilization!

Fééries, opéras, pièces de théâtre, ballets, comédies musicales, symphonies, opérettes, vaudevilles, mystères, revues, projections cinématographiques, jazz, variétés … que n’a-t-on pas joué au Châtelet en 150 ans !
We saw on one of the blogs we follow that there was a production at the Theatre du Chatelet of ‘An American in Paris’ - based on Gershwin brothers music - won Tony awards back in 2014 and has been touring for the last 5 years. So we walked (of course, due to the train/metro strike) down to the box office and snaffled 2 tix for Saturday night, (around 30euro each) up in the Gods (amphitheatre, row A, seats one and three, could have done with some snazzy opera glasses) - we had a ball! Been humming show tunes for days. Even booked tix for the next production, though not until late January of ‘Saul’ - Old testament stuff, David has just killed Goliath - scored with Handel’s oratorio - including the Hallelujah Chorus - should be fantastic. Hot off the press, the show was fantastic, heaps of colour.

My friend & I wanted to spend an evening in a Parisian jazz club, & Duc des Lombards was recommended to us by My Driver in Paris, Stephane Nancy. The Club is clean, new age, & so intimate that there isn't a bad seat. The service is professional, fast, & friendly without being intrusive. By the way, the show blew us away! If you haven't heard her, I highly recommend you check out the Connie Han Trio! We'll definitely visit Duc des Lombards again on our next trip to Paris.
