New Delhi is all at once chaotic and calm, a complicated city where cows often wander the shanty-lined streets. The 17th century Red Fort is a mass of domes and turrets, while Chandni Chowk is an exercise in friendly haggling. Jantar Mantar features larger-than-life sundials and astronomical instruments that are still used to predict the weather. Travelers and locals flock to the India Gate, the national monument of India that honors the soldiers who died in World War I and the Third Afghan War.

I went on two outings with Go city adventures in Delhi, which i booked through 'get your guide'. As a woman traveling solo I felt safe and well cared for the whole time. Before each trip I received messages on WhatsApp to tell me the details of driver name, car registration number, and pick up time. My questions were answered promptly via WhatsApp. I enjoyed my two trips, which i have reviewed separately, and would definitely use this company again.

What an experience with Delhi by Locals! We had two days in Delhi prior to heading to Sri Lanka, and were able to do multiple tours with Pradeep in March 2020. This was right when things began to shut down due to the pandemic but the time spent in India was the highlight of the whole trip. We did a day at the Taj Mahal and Agra fort where we took the train and were met by our guide who took us all around. There were less crowds than usual given everything happening, which gave us room to explore the grounds and experience the majesty of the place. The second day was spent in Old Delhi and experiencing the slums. We got to see the spice market, a service at the Sikh temple, traveled the underground, drank chai and stumbled on a Bollywood filming. At the slums it was amazing seeing the work that Pradeep does with Learning by locals and getting to meet the students and all the kids so willing to practice their English with us. We got to experience the history, culture and human connection that I feel is at the heart of any great trip. I would highly recommend any experience offered by Pradeep and Delhi by Locals.

I arrived in Delhi as part of a fast-paced around the world in 12 days trip in order to meet with friends from all over the world. I had just 36 hours in Delhi. It was my first time, and honestly; I was hesitant. I entered the country with little knowledge of India and only the stereotypes we grow up with in the western world. I booked the experience two hours before it was due to start. I met with JD exactly where he asked to meet. It was easy to find thanks to Delhi’s FANTASTIC metro system. We waited a little while for some late guests but unfortunately despite JD exhausting all efforts, we were unable to locate the other guests and the decision was made since they were going to be an hour late, we could not wait for them due to timing and it would mean I would miss out on some things on the tour. It was nice to see how much JD cared and tried to get the other guests involved. The experience was phenomenal. These weren’t tourist spots. JD showed me things I’d never have seen if it weren’t for him. The way he spoke about his city showed his true passion and love with his city and his motive to show Delhi to people from around the world. We sampled various Indian staples, all carefully selected. I’m sensitive to most foods other than bland foods despite eating everything and enjoying a bit of spice, however on this tour (and the following two days since I took the tour) I haven’t felt sick or anything. JD made clear he will only ever take his guests to places where he can vouch for the quality and hygiene. I came to Delhi skeptical, hesitant, afraid and full of unfair stereotypes of India. Throughout the tour, my love for India’s care for eachother, the way so many religious backgrounds can coexist in a small area and JD’s unbiased sharing of various religious venues in Old Delhi made me fall in love. Of course- I have more of India to see but JD helped me ignite a fire in my heart to see more of India. Indian people are kind and caring of one another. Sure - they might be pushy on the metro and in the streets, but they are always out to help one another. Even on the street people would talk to me and say hello, and when I was trying to step over a ditch a couple people even put out their hands to help me. Delhi is a beautiful, amazing and diverse place and I thank JD for allowing me this experience. I will be bringing back family and recommending my colleagues in aviation to book JD as he showed me a side to India that I didn’t know existed. His knowledge, sense of humour and kind heart made for an incredible experience that was more than just a tour. Please book JD - the reviews speak for themselves.

I booked a domestic, international Meet and Assist transit service with your company for the first time. To say that I am very pleased with the service is to say nothing. I was met with a name placard just at the aircraft, taken by cart to a luggage pick-up area, and stayed at an arrival lounge for several hours to wait for my international flight check-in. Your customer service representative, Ajay, was extremely professional and attentive, really took great care of me as a solo female traveler with a few big suitcases, it was important to me to get an assist and feel safe during my transit time. When the time for my check-in came, another employee, Beny, with her colleague, accompanied me to the check-in counters and helped me go through all the procedures, taking me straight to my boarding gates. It was the best airport experience I had in India. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommended!
