We are holding a cultural experience for the enjoyment of each individual person, which includes tōsenkyō (traditional Japanese game of tossing fans), sensu-etsuke (traditional fan paintings), and chadō (traditional Japanese tea ceremony). As a traditional Japanese establishment that has been passed down in the hands of many generations, we have the responsibility to not only manufacture and market these conventional values, but we find gratification in looking deeply into the long-established Japanese culture and in the people who are interesting in learning more about the many great and historical aspects of our culture.

Takezasado is a woodblock printing workshop and a gallery shop in Kyoto since 1891. You can see and touch our original products, woodblock prints, Ukiyo-e, and woodblock print’s technical materials and tools. Besides, we provide some special workshops at our studio like Experience Workshop of woodblock prints and Demonstration of Hokusai's Ukiyo-e printing processes.
