Santiago Metropolitan Region (Spanish: Región Metropolitana de Santiago) is one of Chile's 15 first-order administrative divisions. It is the country's only landlocked administrative region and contains the nation's capital, Santiago. Most commercial and administrative centers are located in the region, including Chile's main international airport, Arturo Merino Benítez.

MARKETS VISIT AND COOKING CLASS “There is no better way to get to the heart of any city than through its cuisine. And that means not just eating, but shopping for it, and cooking it”. Taylor Holliday, New York Times. Cook authentic Chilean dishes in an informal and friendly environment where you will learn the passion of the Chilean kitchen and have fun doing it. All cooking classes are hands-on, using the freshest of local ingredients. Our chef-instructor will guide you through the preparation of simple but delicious Chilean recipes and reveal some of his culinary secrets.
Highly recommend this cooking class - from the morning walk through the market to the cooking, wine tasting, and conversation, this was an amazing experience. Great way to have a 5 Star lunch, taste two different wines, and see the markets in Santiago. My only recommendation to Uncorked would be to better arrange where to meet at Mercado Central in the morning. Our cab driver dropped us off on the wrong entrance so it was confusing to find our guide. What would be helpful is to say “meet at the entrance on XYZ street and look for the uncorked tours sign”. Other than that it was great and a must do in Santiago!
