We spent the day 10-4:30 at the cooking class and it was a very fun, educational and one of the highlights of our stay on Lake Como! Moreno was so sweet and entertaining I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting the lake!!! The class was in a casual setting and allowed you to ask questions and get tips from Moreno and some of the guests. We drank, cooked, laughed and made new friends. It was a great experience????. Thank you thank you!

My wife, daughter and I signed up for Auroras cooking class in Milan and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The class was very well organized, the recipes were simple to follow and most importantly the food came out amazing. It’s very hands on, which is the best way to learn in my opinion, even my 6 year old daughter was able to learn how to make the gnocchis by hand and she was able to make them again when we got home. We made tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, gnocchis, Margherita pizza and panna cota for dessert. It was amazing how we could do so much in just a couple of hours. Luckily the other 2 couples joining our session were friendly and fun, which made it even more enjoyable. The location was very convenient too, just steps way from a metro station. Definitely recommend this activity for couples or families vacationing in Milan.

Experience cooking as in a real Italian home guided by a genuine housewife teaching you how to cook a perfect traditional meal for your family and friends, simply the Italian way.
We had a wonderful day that started with shopping for ingredients in the local markets. This was such a unique and exceptional start to the day. We then went back to the cooking school and began making our masterpieces. We made bruchetta (different than I have ever tasted), homemade tagliatelle with bolognese sauce (my favorite) and finished it off with strawberry tiramisu! I mentioned that I did not like coffee so Christina and Elisabetta suggested strawberry. It was amazing. The best part of it all is that we were able to include our two little kids (2 and 4 year olds) in this experience too! They even had toys for the kids and Chef Christina had them help every step of the way. The kids LOVED IT (and so did Mommy and Daddy)! 5 plus stars!

OPEN FROM MARCH TO THE END OF OCTOBER. Raku is a Japanese technique, born in the sixteenth century A.D. to create bowls for the tea ceremony that could seem ancient. This particular technique produces a variety of unique results. The working process combines all the natural Elements: Earth, Water, Air, Fire. It starts with the Earth (Clay in this case) to create the object. In the Air it dries. With the Fire is made the first burning, in the kiln, for 8 hours, to reach the temperature of 1000 Celsius degrees (1832 Farenheight degrees). Then it is painted with particular hand-made glazes, realized by the ceramist with metal oxides. And then, again in the Fire, for a second burning, that takes about 2 hours to reach the temperature of 1020 Celsius degrees (1868 Farenheight degrees). At this temperature, every single piece is extracted from the kiln and put in a box, with combustible material inside (such as newspapers, dry leaves or sawdust). After the immediate closure of the box, Air and Fire melt together and induce a strong reduction of oxygen. This step causes the reaction of the metal oxides, that randomly emerge. Otherwise, unpainted parts become black by smoking. Finally it is immersed in Water to stop the reduction process. The result, in tones and shades, will be random, such as Nature creates, and for this reason every piece is unique.
