Visit Chateau Feely between Bordeaux and Bergerac for a magical wine tour. Discover the wonders of organic and biodynamic viticulture, taste a selection of fine wines and explore the history of the region and the estate - the well dates back to Gallo Roman times and some walls to 700 AD. Tours from 1 hour to a full day including a wine pairing lunch or several days wine courses in an ecologically constructed tasting room with magnificent views available everyday except Sunday. One hour visit ten euro per person. Half day with lunch 60 euro per person. Free entry to visitors wishing to buy wine.
This was our second visit/tour with Caro and this time we chose to visit her winery itself, and do the half day tour/tasting/lunch pairing. We were a group of 9 in our family and there was another group of four that we were pared up with. It was an excellent visit, with the vineyard tour and Biodynamic discussion being the most interesting and informative. If you know anything about the Feely approach it is all about a natural and sustainable way of growing grapes and making wine. The good thing about Caro's guidance on the subject is that she is not only passivate about this approach, but is also very knowledgable, and has a very wise and realistic take on the challenges, realities and benefits. She takes some of the mystery out of the Biodynamic approach, and a visit to her vineyard vs others we have been to will likely make you a biodynamic fan (we are rapidly moving to a place where as big wine fans, buyers and consumers we are increasingly focused on the way the grapes were grown, and are trying to shift to all our purchases being at least organic and wherever we can biodynamic.) And her wines are good quality and well priced in our view. The tasting itself was good, and we chose to try out the Michelin food paring that she has recently introduced which was also good. Overall, if you are in the area, want a deeper dive into wine - and in particular the future of grape growing - and prefer an english speaking but now very experienced France-based guide, Caro and a Chateau Feely visit is a great choice.

We had a wonderful cookery lesson and lunch with Ian at this beautiful location. Ian is a great teacher and had us all cooking seemingly impossible dishes such as Chocolate Fondant, even our 4 kids nailed the perfect oozy chocolate middle ;) It was a great experience and Ian is helped expertly by his wife and young daughter to make the whole experience seamless, fun and engaging! We loved learning new skills, spending time as a family and of course the wonderful food! Thank you Family Fisk for a wonderful experience! The Prince family.

Do you fancy a long weekend in France? Passionate about photography? Then come and join award-winning professional landscape photographer Gareth Kirkland on a photography workshop in the South of France. Enjoy the warm climate, great French food and wine, stunning scenery, all the while learning new photographic skills in this most famous part of the Dordogne.
We went out for the day with Gareth in July 2019. He is a brilliant photographer - as relative novices, he spent a while in his shop explaining some techniques about how to get the best out of the equipment we had and we then went out and about with him in the Dordogne Valley. Gareth was very attentive and helpful, keen to teach us various technques, although never baffling us with anything too complicated. He took us to some lovely destinations and we were able to really develop our photography skills. He was excellent company throughout the day and we had a brilliant time. I recommend Gareth's photography sessions without hesitation.

I have been making jewelry for 30 years, first with ceramic then enamelling that i fell in love with 25 years ago. Since then a passion was born and for few years now i have given some classes in my studio and also in different places. Teaching my savoir faire is for me very important and i love when people can express their own creativity with this magical art of firing!
I made a pair of earrings for my daughter at Delphine’s lovely attic studio last year. Since then I’ve had other friends who have made wonderful pieces with her guidance. She is a very patient and helpful teacher who speaks excellent English (and French of course) so that anyone can learn how to make enamel jewelry. I would highly recommend her for an experience that’s a little different and great for any age group.
