Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

Colorado Mountain School (CMS) offers courses and privately guided group and individual adventures in rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing, avalanche training and ice climbing throughout Colorado. We are based locally in Boulder and Estes Park. CMS is the largest guide service in Colorado and has more American Mountain Guides Association certified Guides than any other guide service in the state. Our Estes Park Adventure Hostel is located in Estes Park, Colorado, and is the perfect basecamp for your adventures.
We had Wes Fowler for 2 days of multi-pitch guided climbs. The first day was Pear Butress on Lumpy Ridge and the second was Petit Grepon. Wes was fantastic. He definitely pushed us outside our comfort zones, took the time to teach us the techniques we needed to have for the climbs, and was very safety oriented during the entire time. We would definitely have him guide us again in the future. Thanks Wes.

Our facility offers both indoor and outdoor courts - including 3 outdoor hydrocourt clay courts, 5 outdoor hard tennis courts, 6 RSS 500 cushioned indoor hard tennis courts and eight outdoor Pickleball courts. We have demo rackets, a pro shop, and offer private and group instruction. We can also set up games for you while you are visiting. In 2011, the Tennis Center at Steamboat Springs was named the USTA National Tennis Facility of the Year.
As a local, I feel so lucky to have this great facility staffed with very friendly people. I take regular drills with Sean Pummil, who is a great instructor. His wife Marcy is also excellent. Keep coming! We will have a special new building for Pickleball soon, so keep checking us out!
