Surrounded by beautiful seventeenth- and eighteenth-century merchants' houses, this lively square is filled with street vendors, cafes, shops, galleries and some of Warsaw's top restaurants.
The heart of The Old Town and definitely a 'Must See Place' Home to Museums, Restaurants, Free Music Concerts, Market stalls and shops. Not all of which are Tourist orientated, so No Pressure Sellers. Lots of craft stalls with high quality goods at reasonable prices. In winter there are beer shacks set up surrounding the Open Air Ice rink as well as the restaurants

ZAMEK Culture Centre is an interdisciplinary institution, presenting the most interesting phenomena of contemporary culture, in which the interwoven threads of visual arts, theatre, cinema, music and literature penetrate and complement one another. Our goal is to cater for the diverse needs of the audience and to develop the individual competence and sensibilities of its members. We also wish to be a venue of artistic experiment, by providing the artists with opportunities and conditions in which their work may take shape and be encountered by the public.
The palace was built for the kind, which never lived in it finally. Still impressive to see the building and have a walk in the lovely gardens.

I visited this little tucked away former Synagogue recently. It’s small and it looks like a former place of worship once inside. But it’s neat and clean and well presented for a small town cultural centre. The main objects on display are artefacts from the nearby prison which destroyed and rebuilt since wwii. It also has info sheets on the wall in Polish which outline the towns history through the ages at different times.

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is a place where we want to reflect on the world by means of art – a world which is understood both as our backyard, but also as the vast space beyond it. We believe that a better understanding of contemporaneity helps in a more conscious and empowered participation in the extremely complex global processes.
