Cortona has become very popular several years ago thanks to the book by Frances Mayes, Under the Tuscan Sun (and the movie with Diane Lane) which is set in Cortona; the protagonist immediately falls in love with the town, its people, and villa Bramasole that she purchases and fixes up.

We had a fascinating morning with Alessandra, exploring Assisi and learning about its history. It's such a beautiful place, and Alessandra made it come alive for us. The 'Umbria con me' attention to detail was superb, and booking lunch for us at a local restaurant afterwards was a lovely touch.

We took the Wonders of Palermo walking tour through the historic centre of the city. By far the best way to get to know and become familiar with the long history of the city. The tour guide was excellent, who has deep insight into Sicily’s complex historical and contemporary issues. Great unhurried way to explore the city. Highly recommended

Only 7 people and the tour was by Van. The driver guided us during the drive but no guide joined us at our stop in Castellina. Professional presentations at the wineries. Especially at Poggio Amorreli with Andrea where we were treated with Spumante, one white and two red Chianti and one supertuscan. We also got bread, cheese, salami with their own balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The driver called for a taxi upon arrival in Florence ????

This time we have chosen to discover Palermo in a walking tour. That was our first time in Palermo and our guide, knowing this detail, made a point in explaining and making us discover the main landmarks of this beautiful Sicilian city. After that he suggested a wonderful local restaurant where we had lunch and it was indeed very good food reasonably priced and the restaurant was full of local people, which is, when you don't know a city, the best token for good quality. After lunch our guide walked us back to our cruise. Thank you very much Tour Travel for this great experience

We made a last minute booking with Rolling Rome as they were the only tour that was taking booking on same day. Our tour guide was Eugene and he was brilliant. Very knowledgeable about the city. He was very calm and put us at ease. We stopped off at a lovely cafe called Santeo for a cappuccino. There were many opportunities to take photos and Eugene was more than happy to oblige! I would highly recommend using Rolling Rome and Eugene as a guide.

Great owner, had a nice black Vespa (even in the late afternoon), which we instantly rented. For 59 EUR (no deposit needed) we got 24 hour scooter rent, gas included (didn't have to refill scooter when returning), 2 helmets and were ready to go in minutes. Before you ride it for the first time, there is a check of damages (if any are there you can photo them) so you won't pay the damage you are not responsible for. Getting around on scooter in Rome is great for maximizing your time visiting the places and minimizing time needed to get to them. Although traffic can get tricky and chaotic, people are used to scooters and respect them.

This is my second review on this issue, as I've sent "Walks" another email in regards to their "refund policy".This really deserves to be in quotations, as many can attest they don't really have a "refund policy", only the faint promise of one, that will eventually end in a gift voucher. My query is will they continue to honor this voucher past the initial offer? Currently, and into the foreseeable future, the possibilities to book and travel for a vacation in Italy is questionable at best, with the ongoing COVID restrictions. Walks offered vouchers to 150% for the booked tours cost, or something to that tune. Though I'll bet my $400+ CAD tour that all the tours will have increased by at least 150% to cover costs associated with loss of business, and requisite costs for COVID related restrictions and cleaning measures, for your "safety". I'm still requesting that WALKS do the right thing and refund, in full, everyone's booked tours monies, as promised, and as per they're own refund policy...I'm not holding my breath. It will likely require a class action lawsuit against these turkeys. Of all our bookings to Italy, everyone of them EXCEPT Walks, honored and refunded all monies.
