Tribal Terenife still shows influence from the aboriginal Gaunches people. Visitors clamber to conquer Mount Teide (Spain’s tallest peak) and to stretch out on the sands of Los Gigantes. Squawk hello to the playful parrots of Loro Park, or brave the petrifying drive to beautiful Masca Valley. For a true taste of Terenife, sample fresh farmhouse cheese and local bananas. A piece of delicate calado canario lace makes a special souvenir.

This charming church located in a square that bears his name and where the La Laguna food market is located, is one of the emblematic places of the first capital of the island. Essential visit.

A beautiful church in a quiet hillside village. We found that there was a little market in the town due to the almonds being in flower around the valley. The almonds were not quite in flower, but the beauty was just getting ready to be seen in a full extent. The church was lovely inside. Simple but with a profound religious sentiment. Well worth taking the time to see.
