As I understand it the Church was inaugurated in the 1930 and underwent some restoration in more recent years. The term Capuchinos I gather refers to a Type of dress but also refers back to a specific groups of the Franciscans monks, name,up the Capuchins. Albeit the Cathedral/Church is one awesome beautiful edifice both inside and out. A definite item to consider on you tour list. I was a little too early in the morning to get the right light conditions for an outside pic.

When the Jesuits (the order to which the present Catholic pope belongs) were distributed by the new world they came here and built the first church on the ground tha,t after the wars of independence, would become known as Argentina. Since they did not have architects but builders of ships in their group, the roof is an inverted boat that can be visited in the schedules corresponding to the visits. It is a very nice church to visit.
