Londa Burial Caves

Reviewed By bawa167799 - Denpasar, Indonesia

Admission at 30k IDR per person. Light (you need them) at 50K as well as local guide to accompany. Worth it, cos it helps the local community and local people, so don't be stingey. As for distance, yoi have to walk around 500 meter to reach the cave, with slight incline and decline. Views quite nice and green. Londa burial caves is preserved for royals and certain families (especially the richer ones) cos of the limited space. There are 2 caves that interconnects and made of limestone (I think), the bigger one has much more coffin and one particular couple story of the local 'Romeo and Juliet'. An incest story of brother and sister who fell in love, didnt receive any blessings from their family and committed suicide. The smaller caves has much more skeletons, practically lined up on the wall side. Don't consider touching them, cos they have certain ceremony to move these remains. Only on those ceremonies they are allowed to touch and move them.
