According to famed diver Jacques Cousteau, the Great Blue Hole of Belize is one of the most spectacular dive sites on earth. The crystal-clear sapphire waters are home to colorful tropical fish and several species of reef sharks – ideal for brave divers who love to get up close and personal with sea life. On dry ground, diverse rainforests, mangrove swamps, and Mayan ruins are perfect for exploration. The beaches of Belize are sunny and tranquil spots for a day of relaxation.

This remote cave is filled with relics left over from the Mayans.
My family and I visited Actun Tunichil Muknal June of 2019. This is not like a cave in the US where tourists visit. YOu must hike, cross rivers, swim across the pool at the entrance of the cave, wade up streams, squeeze through tight passages, climb rocks in you socks and up a ladder to reach the crystal maiden. Worth every second! It is so beautiful, amazing and tragic too. I am grateful for the experience, it was truly a trip of a lifetime.

I lived at Che Chem ha Logde. So my first tour was visiting the cave on the property of the family with William as a very good tour-guide.He has a big knowledge about mayan people living in this beautiful cave. There are many pottery to see, some broken and some in a astonishing good state. Hiking up to the entrance is easy. And after going down we had a excellent lunch at the lodge. A good trip with meeting very friendly people.

We had an excellent tour of Crystal Cave with Israel from Wildland Belize. He was an exceptional tour guide-- we learned so much and he pointed out all the Mayan artifacts and unique cave formations throughout our tour! It's a challenging hike through the cave but if you have good fitness it's worth it!

After entering the gates of our 300-acre adventure park, you will find yourself fully immersed in nature. With numerous fauna and species such as Toucans, monkeys, and parrots. With an abundance of tours such as medicinal trail, nature walk, bird watching, butterfly watching, camping and much more! Also, we have a Mayan Shaman on site. And of course explore our 3 fantastic caves.

The owner of our lodge in Belize arranged this half day cave tubing. Our guide was Dione, and it was only myself, my husband and our 24 year old daugher on this cave tubing trip. It was a lot of fun, we saw some beautiful cave formations and enjoyed the opportunity to cool down in the river. At some points it was pretty shallow (lift your butt) but as Dione promised he got us through. Dione was a great guide, and made the whole experience a lot of fun. We had lunch afterwards on site, and the food was very good - try the ceviche.

The most famous dive site in Belize was discovered by Jacques Cousteau.
Seeing the stalagmites and stalactites 140 feet down is an awesome experience. And you can't see the bottom from there. Our dive lasted about 8 minutes at the Arch. Not much to see- a few fish and perhaps a shark. The boat trip from San Pedro takes about 2.5 hours. Open seas can get rough. Park fee is $40 per person. It's a worthwhile experience. The tour includes two additional dive sites where you'll see lots of colorful fish, corals, sharks, rays, turtles, giant groupers, etc. A full day trip that starts at 6:00am and gets back to San Pedro around 5:30pm

From Cave Tubing on Caves Branch River system or Crystal Caves - Rock Climbing and Repelling - Zip Lining through the Jungle Canopy, and so much more. Our newest addition is the Jungle Tumble In New Zealand where it was invented they call it ZORBING. It is the sport of rolling downhill inside a large 11 foot (3.5 meter) inflatable Ball.
We took a wonderful Cave Tubing trip on our visit this month to Beliez. We rented a car and drove from Belmopan on the Western Hwy to Caves Branch River. We paid a small entrance fee to park then walked around the central area to find a guide. Lucky for us we found a great guide, Fernando. He was experienced, reasonable and promised us an indepth, leisurely through three caves--- and certainly delivered! Fernando was knowledgeable about the caves, the Mayan history, rainforest plants, birds and trees. Instead of a short 90 minute trip, which is the norm, he guided us for 4 hours! While there we saw several other tours racing through only one cave. Fernando was careful, kind and had a great sense of humor. We highly recommend you ask for him. Maybe you can email him to set up a day to meet at Planning for the tour you will need water shoes. Not flip flops because you will climb on rocks when exploring the cave outside f the Tube, intermittently throughout the tour. We used reef walkers and took some water bottles in Fernando's dry bag. You will get wet---and want to get wet! So bring a dry set of shorts.

Akeem Williams, Cultural Experience Belize, brought us to Blue Creek, to meet Yona (at her Mayan restaurant) and Vince Ical to guide us on a hike and then a swim through the cave on Blue Creek, to a waterfall. We turned off our headlamps and experience total darkness. After the hike and cave swim, we headed back to Vince & Yona's place where Yona taught us how to grind roasted cacao beans into chocolate, shape and grill corn tortillas, and fed us a scrumptious traditional lunch. We purchased some of Yona's freshly made chocolate bars and are still enjoying them ... best chocolate ever! Akeem then took us to a Mayan ruin and shared more storied about local history, culture, peoples, and traditions.

This cave is located in a beautiful part of Belize and features Mayan relics and a 65-foot tall opening.
The road to the cave is another very bumpy and narrow one, but the drive is not very long and the cave only a few meters from where you park. This is an easily accessible, big cave and as you walk inside, you can even see the other end of it. Pretty spectacular and makes for very nice pictures! Excellent stop on the way back from Caracol or a day in Pine Ridge Forest.
