Coachland RV Park is nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevada mountain range of northern California and is conveniently located to all of the outdoor activities, shopping, and dining that Truckee, CA has to offer. Situated at 5,996 ft., Coachland RV Park is open year-round for those that enjoy winter sports at Northstar Ski Resort and Squaw Valley, and the mild summer temperatures that allow for fishing and sporting on the Truckee River. Coachland RV Park is also only a short drive to all the beauty that Lake Tahoe provides. We've got RV sites designed with your budget and comfort top of mind.
Nice level spots, fairly quiet, good laundry facilities, only drawback was no showers. Very good location convenient to Truckee old town and Lake Tahoe. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Would stay here again.

You're looking for a nice little getaway that has campgrounds for RVs with hookups and campground spots for tents only then this is the one. This is the first time I've gone to a campground or they've had free heated showers, free ice and the campground host are extremely pleasant. It's really nice because it's a short drive to the Truckee River if you wish to grafting or just hang out by the water.

We booked in April & this campground in the entire Tahoe area was the only one that had any avail sites. A lot of the sites are small & very unlevel. Road thru the campground is one way only, Very long trailers or long A or C class motorhomes will have difficulty making the turns or even finding a site that is long enough to accomodate your rig. We did see a bear in the campground, which later ambled down to the beach to look thru everyone's stuff for snacks. He seemed only interested in food, not us humans, but we all gave him plenty of space. Bring a whistle /bear spray just in case and use those bear lockers for your food if tent camping. Campground is nice, small, in btwn a residential area. Short walk to the small beach area at the lake. Would stay here again, if needed, but would like to visit other campgrounds for better campsites.

They advertise no electric, water or sewer hookups. Quite time 10pm till 7am. It was 87 out side and 92 inside our RV. We had generator running for AC. Some rude jerk came to our door at 8:15 pm and told us to shut it down. I said we are following your park rules and he said we are bothering other guest. They need to change their own rules before charging customers . I would not have stayed at this primitive park that serves tent campers. I could have parked at Walmart and got better amenities.

This is a beautiful area in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, 10 miles North of Truckee, CA, on Hwy 89. It's is located on the west shore of Prosser Reservoir. Many of the sites have a lakeside view. Tents, Trailers, and Motor Homes can use these sites, but there are no electrical hook-ups. It is a primitive site, with potable water available, and vault toilets. There are four, 1st come, 1st served, camping locations. All remaining sites can be reserved using the on-line service called Recreation.gov. Cost to reserve a site is $20.00, (adults), and $10.00 (seniors), if you have a Senior Pass for the National Parks. Black bears have frequented the area, but it's not common. Food need to be secured in your vehicle. Beautiful lake, excellent morning sunrises! Wood can be purchased if you would like a fire. There is a camp host on site (summer months.)

Booked this campground from the UK for two nights in late September, a week before it was due to close for the season. That should have acted as a warning what to expect! Had chosen this campground over others nearer to Lake Tahoe in the expectation it would be quiet and not too crowded. Yes to the second, no to the first! A lot of noise audible from the highway as it happens. They did advise that only RVs up to 30' were permitted; we therefore had the maximum size allowed, and to be honest, the slot that I had chosen (from a simple on-line diagram) was really not suitable for a 30-footer, due to be being on a slight bend and with trees either end of the slot - hubby couldn't manoeuvre the van close enough to be out of the way of other vehicles. Luckily, as the site was so quiet, we moved to another, better placed slot and informed the ranger on duty, who did not make a fuss about our switching. Campground is as 'primitive' as described on the website - vault toilets were adequate, but the air temperature late evening and early morning was close to freezing, and therefore put night-time trips to the WC out of the question......we also felt cold all night in our bunk! So much so, we decided to move to a commercial campsite for the second night. Had we been there in a warmer season, I'm sure we would have enjoyed the experience of being 'back to nature' much more.

Blue Waters is one of the oldest places on the north shore for RV's and long term motel room rentals. the facility has had the same owner over 25 years and they only rent to long-term tenants. there are no camping spots or weekly rentals. most tenants have lived there for over a decade and most are retired or casino workers. very nice owners and they take care of a lot of people who otherwise could live noplace else near the lake.

This campground is relatively small. It has a lot of grass which keeps it cool and clean. There are 2 shower/bathrooms available. There is no trash at the upper end of the park. The Wi-Fi comes and goes. 6 miles from Truckee for shopping and dining. The interstate noise is LOUD! 247! Read the rules.

Over sold and under delivered. NOT a big rig park and is better suited for tear-drops and truck campers. Lots of permanent residents tucked into every available area that need a serious clean-up! Also young children, bicycles, and scooters up and down the tiny roads all day long. The pictures look like a riverside park but it’s probably a 1/2 mile away across the freeway. Truckee downtown was a great area for food and shopping. Find another park.
