Famous for Bourbon Country and horse farms, civil war battlefields and beautiful natural parks, Kentucky offers a delightful mix of experiences. You might begin in Lexington, where the 1200-acre Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction. The university adds exciting sports, impressive art and a vibrant student/professor population to the city. Louisville is similar, where renowned Churchill Downs hosts the annual Kentucky Derby and the Belle of Louisville, the nation’s oldest steam-driven river paddlewheeler, hosts enchanting lunch and dinner cruises along the beautiful Ohio River. Next, head south to visit Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of touring the cave (the world’s longest known cave), hiking and canoeing on the Green River. Paducah, Berea, Bowling Green – so many places to explore and enjoy!

The rooms were a bit dated but that was fine. The steps outside leading up to the rooms had cracks in the metal that holds the steps in place. The stair landing lights were out and we told the front desk 3 different days but nothing was done. The light in our bathroom was dim so we changed it out with a bulb from our lamp in the room. We had 2 roach bugs in our room that we killed. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was broke. If we visit the area again, we won’t stay here. But one positive thing is that it’s at a convenient location in the park. We ate at the on-site restaurant. Our main waitress Lisa was the saving grace. She made every meal pleasant. She is an asset and sets an excellent example of what other waitstaff should aspire to. Also, when making reservations at the lodge, they will tell you that they offer a free continental breakfast. But when you get there, you find out that it’s only available Mon-Thur. No one mentioned that on the phone.

We have already stayed at Lost Lodge twice and plan on returning again soon. This is such a rustic, peaceful place with clean and comfortable furnished cabins. The owners are friendly and eager to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. The location makes this a perfect weekend getaway as you are near the lake, restaurant’s, and amazing hikes. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Pig stye. Pictures do not show conditions. I could not recommend to anyone. I had hoped to find a clean room close to the lakes well it was somewhat close to the lake region That is the best that can be said for it.

Located close to Cumberland Falls State Park and part of Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort near Corbin and Williamsburg, KY. Year-round resort cabin, rustic cabins, RV campsites as well as both water/electric and primitive tentsites. Great base-camp for hiking, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and other outdoor activities. Convenient to the Big South Fork National Park and the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Cabins we clean and cozy. With electric and a fridge and microwave! Bath house was just a few steps away with showers and toilets. Checking in and out was quick and easy. No problems with anything. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We will be back, for sure!

This is a small campground/RV site. Not sure how many spaces are there. Campsites around a open field. Most sites are pretty small and when we were there it was populated by mostly huge class A RVs . Most sites appear to have full hook ups. There is Wi-Fi but it doesn’t work very well at least where we were located. The cell signal is also poor. There is a bathhouse but we did not have an opportunity to use it. Sites are very close together and there is absolutely no privacy. Cave city is nearby and there’s nothing there except for a pretty good barbecue place. We were about 15 minutes from Mammoth national Park which is about the only reason why I would come back to this park

9 cozy stone cabins and a campground just outside Mammoth Cave National Park. Built in 1928, these National Historic Register listed cabins are being restored to offer a comfortable place to stay on your visit to the Mammoth Cave area. If you're driving an RV, we can also accommodate you with full hookups in our campground. We have many tent sites as well. Our RV sites have 50 amp service and access to full restroom/Shower facilities. Our cabins range in size from one bedroom house, complete with full kitchen and bath, with room for 6 adults. To a cozy one room cabin with a queen bed, prefect for a couple. All cabins have bedding, towels, air conditioning, microwave, refrigerator and DISH Network TV.
Ralph the owner was very nice and knowledgeable of the local area. When I booked cabin 9 for 2 night he emailed me links to several local attractions. The location couldn't be better for Mammoth cave and several other activities. The cabine was a little dated but clean. The only issue was that a hot shower was near impossible due to the tiny water heater. A nice shower is a necessity after a dave in the caves and other outdoor activities. Would be 5 star with a bigger water heater.

We stayed here in Site #62 for four nights in May and truly enjoyed our visit. Staff was super friendly and easy to work with even with us making our reservations almost year in advance. Grounds were wonderfully kept. Our site was a back-in on a concrete pad. All utilities were good. We use AT&T for cell and hotspot and while signal strength was not great, speed was excellent. Definitely an excellent place to stay.

I am truly trying to ascertain how this won a Campspot Award as Most Popular in USA. This is a decent campground but there is really nothing special here. Sites are very close together and as someone previously stated, sites are long enough for trailer but tow vehicle must park out front. Camp ground charges $25.00 if you park on grass so it limits the location of your truck. In some cases it makes it pretty tough backing into a site. Who ever did the photos did a great job making the campground look spacious. Again, this is not a bad campground, but I am dumbfounded about it being an award winner. Makes me question Campspots criteria.
