Lying at the heart of Norway’s Western Fjord area, Hordaland is home to culturally rich Bergen, the country’s second largest city. Hardangerfjord, Norway’s second-longest fjord (and the third-longest in the world), is here too, and cruising along its scenic 110 miles is a top area activity. Leirvik, the second-biggest town in Hordaland, has the interesting open-air Sunnhordland Folk Museum. Set atop one of the country’s biggest glaciers, Folgefonna National Park has a popular summer ski center.

We stayed here in July 2021 for two nights (group of 9 including children split into two cabins). The location is about 5 minutes walk from the Tvinno bus stop. There is very limited bus connectivity to this place, so you need to plan your travel accordingly if you are using public transport like us. The bathroom and toilets are outside and in common area. You need to carry 10 Krone coins to use the shower where the water will come for 4 minutes, which was sufficient for most of us. There is no charge to use the toilet if you have already paid for the cabin or camping. (They provide you a code to unlock the toilet door.) There is a small shop which is also the reception. You can get some fast food items and something hot to drink (e.g. coffee) along with option to buy soviniers. This is also the place where you can make the room payments (if booking via booking.com). This is also where you can ask for the free WiFi password (the signal is not good near the reception, but better at the actual cabins (speeds around 5 Mbps when it works). The mobile signal is also OK though not as strong as in big cities. The main attraction is the private waterfall which is accessible from this property. It is possible to just climb up the stones and get very close to the waterfall. It gets colder at night and there are some mosquitos as well though not too many for such a location. It is also possible to pitch a tent there or bring your caravan there. Check the website for rates.

Stayed here for only 1 night in early September. We didn't pre-book anything, only drove up to the reception asking for a small cabin. Which wasn't a problem. They had a few options and they let us borrow the keys for the two different cabins to see which one we liked more. Big plus. We stayed in cabin 8. + The cabin was fresh and the beds felt okey + The showers were great. Private, newly renovated and perfect + Good location for travelling to Bergen. An easy drive to the centre of the city. + Money's worth - The sanitary facility could use some work. Simple booths for the toilets with zero possibility of any privacy. - We did not get the WiFi to work Did not check out any of the kitchen/washing areas.

Grimen Camping is situated 14 km from the city centre, on rv 580. It has 8 apartments, 8 cabins, 35 places for tents/caravans and a modern sanitary block.
Love the place. Stayed here for 2 nights in a tent. The recepcionist is very nice, he gave me a cup of coffe in the morning and nice recomendations about Bergen. Is very clean, they clean the bathrooms and kitchen all the time and the view of the lake is amazing. Cant wait to return...

I was prepared to give this place some grace, as it is a low budget motel/RV site. The staff was really nice and so helpful. We stayed in one of the motel rooms. The beds are OK, the rooms are small and the kitchenette is lacking, but it is inexpensive and not too far from Bergen. However, the bathroom tile/grout is absolutely covered in black mold. The walls, the floor, everywhere. At first I thought it was dark grout, but no. When you take a shower, the whole room smells like mold. Stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately the communal facilities are across the public road, off the campsite. Kitchen in the cabin is minimal, cutlery and tools not complete. Cabins are close together and neighbours are overheard easily. Price Value ratio is poor.

I always wanted to try the famous Norwegian "hytte", or cabins. I'd been in Eidfjor several times before, and I just loved this place. It had everything you could dream of; the magnificence of the landscape and the powerful colors of the fjords. So we tried this place. And let me tell you that it is just perfect. If you rent the larger cabins (four to six persons), you will enjoy a high level of comfort. Nice living room, large bathroom, and cleanness. At the same time, you are surrounded by the wildness of this very particular nature, being at the crossroad between the arctic landscape and the fjords. Short way to Eidfjor center and walking distance to the fabulous Vøringsfossen. If you like nature and comfort, this is the place to be. The restaurant nearby the cabins, that belongs to the same owner, has a limited menu, but the food is as excellent as local. Parking place just outside your cabin. You can eventually cook your own food, as the kitchen is well equipped.

10 modern holiday homes (45m² and 60m²) as well as several camping cabins. Situated 80 km east of Haugesund on the E-134 highway at akrafjorden. Good fishing possibilities. Boat rental available.
When I and my friends from travelling group had trip to Norway, we had stopped at the Kyrping Kamping. It was very nice place with comfortable houses on the bank of Norway Sea. We had a good time in this camping. The weather was very warm and we had swimming at the sea and fishing. From our house’s terrace had opened beautiful view on the mountains and sea, and each morning we can see dolphins and swans. I recommend this camping all of my friends which will visit this magical country.

1,5 km from Voss. Close to ski slopes and good walks Contact: 12 double rooms and 16 beds in 8 sleeping alcoves. Two big lounges, big communal kitchen, four bathrooms, sauna and sunny terrace with lovely view. Haugo Utleige has also got a cabin with 2 bedrooms, sitting room, bathroom with shower, kitchen with dishwasher and WIFI.
Great to have private rooms and the convenience of the shared kitchen. The outdoor deck has a lovely view of the lake and is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset! The hosts were very friendly - would recommend to anyone staying in Voss.
