Laid-back, low-profile Honduras is one of Central America's largely unknown tourist destinations. A recent proliferation of domestic flights has opened up the Bay Islands and the major cities of La Ceiba, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Buses, taxis and dug-out canoes provide other transport options. The Maya city of Copan is a UNESCO-designated heritage site with a ball court, an Acropolis and a Hieroglyphic Stairway. Other sights include El Cusuco National Cloud Forest Park, home to quetzal birds.

Comfortable wooden cabins located river shore, right minutes from the beautiful "Pulhapanzak Waterfall"
Made an Expedia reservation for this Hotel (cabins) and got the largest room per Expedia will accommodate up to 6 people but at checking in the manager report is only for 2 people reservation per Expedia, ( a false advertisement) well had to get another room that I had to pay $ 200 dollars for a room is advertised on Expedia for $ 89 dollars. Be careful from a false advertise and “Money hungry manager “ I think the people that work on the hotel and installations are nice and very helpful people. Another think be aware of the hours, some members of my family arrived after 7 pm and they couldn’t order anything to eat after that time, what king of Hotel do that??? And plates food servings very small portions like for a kids.

A completely natural, green and peaceful place to stay in, where every room has plenty space, A/C, Hot Water and delicious beds to rest after an adventurous day exploring Copan, you can eat in our restaurant, refresh in our pool. We also have the only butterfly farm in all Copan where people visit us to enter the farm, watch and feed more than 30 species of butterfies you can find only here.
Great place , kind of new or renew, big and comfortable rooms, with great Air conditioning( a MUST) ,staff is helpful and overall nice place with great natural surroundings, GREAT POOL to down the heat!!! Just be aware that you must get down and climb quit a few stairs, so if you have any walking issue ask for the closest rooms, but if you are ok , no issues whatsoever. I very much recommend this place it is very close to all attractions around no more than 10 ins by car or moto taxi

I stayed here for a conference. The staff, in the reception, restaurant and cleaning department were all extremely nice and warm. Nice pool and awesome gym. Pleasant grounds, The reasons I'm giving them 3 stars are: 1) Wifi is terrible 2) Food is very average 3) Isolated from the town (which can be a plus unless you need stuff from the outside.

This was our first visit to Roatan. We wanted an authentic experience that wasn't in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the main street. A quick 5 min walk from the ocean, restaurants and diving, and 10min to the white sand was the perfect distance for us. The cabins had everything we needed to relax, cook, and feel comfortable. The owner Tony is VERY accommodating! He's laid back and was egar to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The gardens are breath taking... the lush jungle feel surrounds all the cabins. The wifi is a bit weak but served everything we needed from the internet. We will defiantly return back to Hidden Garden Cabins for another Caribbean vacation!

Honduras' newest Nature and Birding Resort. Situated within the rainforests of Pico Bonito National Park and catering to individuals, groups, and families. Perfect for a relaxing getaway as well as birdwatching and hiking.
Rio Santiago Nature Resort is a place to relax and be in contact with nature. We learned last year of the owner passing; so we will see what would happen next to the property. Overall this is a destination for the traveler that wants a relax place with access to amazing hiking trails and great birding. You could also use it as your base as you explore other parks in the area like Cuero y Salado. Access to the property is right from the highway - a few kilometers pass La Masica, Atlantida. You will have to keep an eye on the sign - you will turn right if you are heading east coming from San Pedro Sula / Progresso/Tela. The property might need some updates. The people that work at the resort know the area very well so dont be shy to ask any questions for ideas on hiking or birding. This property has great access to Pico Bonito National Park - so you could spend a lot of time here if your interest in the natural beauty of the area.

Three cabins with two rooms each situated on a jungle hillside. Experience the beauty of Pico Bonito, cheaply. The Cabanas offer access to local trails, bucolic bathing spots amongst giant boulders, and a genuine Honduran experience. The Cabanas are a community-run enterprise, developed by Guaruma, a local nonprofit. The accommodations are simple and airy. Each room has its own bathroom (cold water showers only) and a sumptuous porch with hammocks for relaxing. On site restaurant offers hearty, Honduran fare at local prices. Local guides are available as well. Come stay with us and the whole community will welcome you!
Una propuesta muy buena. Económica, en un entorno natural hermosisimo, con habitaciones cómodas y sobre todo.... una gastronomia espectacular! Animensé y disfrutenlo! Tienen actividades con la comunidad que son muy buenas.

We stayed two nights with our three kids at Estancia and had a great time. The location in the mountains is incredible and offers fantastics views of the landscape. The staff is welcoming and nice and makes a great effort to make you feel at home. It was fun and interesting to participate in the local farm activities, including milking cows and processing the harvested corn to make tamalitos. The food is good, but if you stay two nights you begin to lack diversity on the menu. The only other downside is the fact, that we had to spend a lot of time negotiating the bill upon check out, as the owner tried to trick us to pay a higher price than what we were offered upon check in. In the end he accepted and gave us the price we were promised. Besides this, it was a great experience and we definitely consider returning. Be aware that the hotel is located in a remote area, so you shouldn't expect any type of internet or phone connection while you're at the Estancia.

We had a bit of a hard time finding the lodge as it is a bit away from the main Highway between San Pedro and Tegucigalpa, but it was well worth it. The location is perfect in the middle of farms in a quiet spot yet close enough to the lake Yojoa and Naranjos archeological site which is a most see. Our Cabaña was spacious, clean, non-luxurious but very comfortable with everything needed; good beds, big bathroom, balcony facing the gardens, etc. The owner was kind and helpful with plenty info regarding lake activities and other hikes and tours around the area. Having the cafeteria near by was nice, nothing fancy but food was definitely tasty at filling at reasonable cost. Finca Santa Martha is a small, growing, no-luxurious, overall comfortable place to stay, next time we go to Yojoa Lake we will stay here again without a doubt.
