At the heart of the Dombes, the land of a thousand of ponds, along a river, the campsite’s le nid du parc" is an ideal site for all nature-lovers in search of simplicity and freedom. This new green camping, at the heart of nature, is located close to the fabulous bird park and accessible by foot from the campsite. After visiting the ornithological park, which is a veritable « bird's eye world tour", a bike ride or a walk alongside the ponds, make the most of the campsite's range of services and take a relaxing break: bar-restaurant, animations, swimming-pool… You can also make use of comfortable bathrooms which were refurbished this year. Set up with your equipment at a spacious pitch or choose the comfort of a wood&canvas tent,Gipsy caravan, chalet or tipi tent.
We spent one night here while in the area. Pitch was large but a little bit unkempt more like a meadow. The toilets were reasonably modern and were quite clean. The staff were friendly. The local village is probably a 10 minute walk away and is ok. The downside is it is very close to an animal park and there were a lot of children on a bus trip who was staying in the campsite. Also there were hundreds of crows nesting in the trees and it was very loud at night

L'hôtel possède 18 chambres récemment rénovées dans le batiment principal et 16 pavillons hôteliers situés dans un parc à proximité de deux plans d'eau paysagers
I was very undecided about staying here given the mixed reviews and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed 2 nights on our way to further South. The hotel is near Vogue and Balazuc which are stunningly beautiful villages and well worth a visit. The hotel itself was clean and although the rooms are dated they are comfortable and given the price there are a lot of facilities. The photos of the pool slides are somewhat generous the slides are really quite small. The pools are nice but the men have to wear tight shorts/trunks they aren't allowed in the pool with board shorts on, which meant just sun bathing for my husband. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was simple but tasty. I think we were the only non French there which I would have found difficult if we were staying for a longer period of time, but was fine as it was. There is a spar shop and a couple of restaurants within a 10ish minute walk. Given the same situation I would stay here again. The grounds are large and the accommodation is in single storey lodges, so there isn't a lot of noise from others. Each had a little patio and outdoor table and chairs. There are no tea and coffee making facilities or fridge in the rooms. In our quadruple room we had a king sized bed and a curtained off area with bunk beds.

Camping located 1.5 Km from the beaches of Lake Annecy. 100 Pitches. Chalet, mobile homes, trailers, ... Atmosphere familialle Animation and restaurant (July / August)
Campsite owners were catering for very large groups in the restaurant approx 16 on one table and 8 on another. Not much social distancing going on their. We also watched one of their COVID deep cleans after a guest left and it took a maximum of 10 minutes. You can decide whether that is good enough for you. Our caravan had mold on the wall next to the wardrobe and the wardrobe was dirty. However, the final straw is that you will not get your deposit back no matter how much you clean before you leave unless you make them inspect the caravan and confirm it is ok before you leave. We’ve been unable to get them to inspect 2 out of 3 visits and guess what each time we get charged. No more because we won’t be going back which is a shame because it’s a good location. Don’t expect the grass and trees to be manicured like the photos in September as it is not worth it for them at the end of the season. If you are camping make sure you take your own loo paper because the rationed stuff in the toilet block is the narrowest you’ll ever see if there is any left to dispense before you go into the loo. You can probably detect the theme of saving and making money here.

We booked but we changed plan, so we tried to contact them in order to arrange the booking. For 24 hours no-one answer to the phone...after that we talk with M.me Corinne, who was asked to change our booking: she close the phone call,,,So we tried to book with Booking and we succeded, but the Director told us that we were not welcome and cancel the booking. Definetely a prehistoric behaviour.

We had a short but wonderful staywith our campter. Lovely views surrounding the area, very quiet, extremely friendly welcomed by the owners! Shower and toilets very clean. It was a pleasure spending out holiday there and we will sure be back. Those who like to hike and love a bit of adventure should hike up the Dent de Crolles!
