This tour delivered on all points. My guide, Juma was professional, very knowledgeable, and eager to share information. He was a perfect gentleman along with being my private photographer. Because he was taking photos, I could pay attention to the tour and concentrate on history shared by the guide at the slade trade history museum. The information was extremely emotional for me, but certainly worth the time and cost of the tour. Oh! And the driver was friendly and safe. Loved the entire tour!

We took a weekend trip to Stone Town as we are working in Dar Es Salaam. We had a wonderful morning exploring Stone Town with Mady. Mady was very patient with us, after we couldn't start on time due to some unexpected work related issues that came up early the morning. Covid-19 did take it's toll and few places are up and running. (we couldn't go into most of the historic sites as still closed) However, Mady's knowledge about the town and it's history is excellent! I will definitely recommend him.

We spent the day taking a boat out to Tumbatu Island and then took a tour of the old ruins, the school, beautiful trees, and were able to meet and one of the several natural healers on the island. The healer shared how he is able to understand how chronic or acute your condition is through gathering some data about you. It was so interesting to learn about these wise healers on the island. First though, the boat ride out to the island was awesome. The water was a gorgeous turquoise and we were able to see fishermen catch octopus and many varieties of fish, from their hand-made nets, which we ended up buying for lunch right from the water after the fishermen just caught them. It was so amazing to see. Next, we were dropped off on a sandbank and were able to see so many beautiful marine life followed by beautiful snorkeling off of the sandbank. Then we walked around the island some seeing children at school studying or hearing them chant their Islamic prayers. We were then treated to our amazing vegetarian and non-vegetarian lunch after visiting some of the ruins from prior royalty. The trip was so special and Halisi tours was such a great operator. Halisi Tours attend to all the small details and are simply the best tours I have taken during my travels to Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia. I highly recommend them above all others!

This is one of our must-do activities that you will not want to miss while you are in Zanzibar. The tiny but exceptional Mnemba reef offers indeed some of the best and most spectacular spots in the whole Archipelago, if not in East Africa. On this trip, we might (85% chance) see dolphins while cruising from Nungwi to Mnemba, we will stop for a while and you can enjoy seeing dolphins swimming, also you can take photos. Also, there is a Sandbank beside Mnemba Island, we might go there after snorkeling when it is low tides. Mnemba is well known for the excellent clarity of its waters ( for this area of the Indian Ocean) and the unusually prolific and diverse corals and tropical marine life where you can able to see a lot of colorful fishes while Snorkeling. Some of the species that you can see at Mnemba reef include; Angel Fish, Blue Spotted Rays, Black Snappers, Groupers, Red Tooth Triggers, Flounder, Octopuses, Leaf Fish, Scorpion Fish, Stone Fish, Frog Fish and lots of Trevallies.
Inclusions: Rice, Vegetable soup, Chapati, Tuna fish, Salads, etc, Bottle of waters available on the Dhow and at Lunchtime as many as you want., Use of Snorkelling equipment, Air-conditioned vehicle, All Fees and Taxes, Fruit Snacks (Watermelon, Pineapple, Bananas, Mangoes, Coconut, etc)
