The Road to Recovery Tour was outstanding. Our guide Nikki, was a local with a deep knowledge of the island and its geology, ecology, biology and geography. She was enthusiastic, kind, thoughtful and a perfect guide to the wonders of the island and the way it is recovering from the catastrophic bushfires . We had a wonderful day. Highly recommended.

We used sealink to get from kangaroo Island to Adelaide and the service was generally good. Check in was easy in KI however clerk was not that helpful as I was unsure about luggage. Next time I will know! There is a luggage van - self serve - which actually comes off the ferry when it arrives. Easy once you know. Actual crossing was pretty rough so suggest sit in seats near rear of boat and very convenient to bathrooms! Our link from ferry to bus at Cape Jervois was easy - remember you have to collect your bag and put it on to bus yourself. There is a food outlet on the ferry but we only found this out near the end of our trip and it had just closed - arghh. (They don’t tell you!). A little more organisation and this would have been a wonderful experience.

There is no one word to sum up this tour, incredible, stunning and mesmerising just don't feel like they do this tour justice. From the minute Chris picked me up, it was incredible stop after another, from stunning views of a local beach I had to myself, through to the jaw dropping Flinders Chase National Park and onto the breath taking seal bay conservation area. Every aspect of this tour was 5 stars, there is not a single aspect I can fault, and it was simply one of the best tours and tour guides I've had in my life.

Overall the tour was great, from the bus, to the scenery, to the selection of wineries, to the wines, to the chocolates. A great day was had by all. Constructive feedback: - The bus driver was funny and engaging while on the bus, but wanted nothing to do with us at each winery, even while joining us for lunch. It could improve the overall experience if he were friendly the whole day. - The lunch on the day was a mixed bag. The entree was delicious but the main was a little disappointing. The food selection was excellent, but it came out a little cold. It was very busy at the venue, so this likely played a part. This is not a reflection on the service of the tour provider, but more feedback to pass on the the venue.
